What a fekin shit stain. I hope his CSM or RSM spends the next training night boot fucking him around the parade square in front of all his fellow soldiers.

It's people like him that give life to the old addage about green apples and shads which is really sad because there have been numerous reserves from Nanaimo who served with distinction in places like Aghanistan or Libya and recieved praise from the military community for their dedication and ability.

I don't understand how you can file a false police report without criminal intent. I'm guessing this guy did it to himself and is seeking help. At the very least, if this is the case the cops should state that so people know what's going on.

But I don't think you're gonna see the shad bashing that you would have a couple of decades ago. You guys are alot more professional than you were and I can attest to that having spent 2 years as the Cox'n on a gate vessel in the early 80's.

Buddy, having sailed on 280, they did way more crap than I ever saw on a Gate Vessel.

Reminds me of listening to a bunch of old chiefs talking about reservists.

"They just go to sea on those party boats." Followed by, "Hey, remember when you and Bloggins got loaded and snuck those hookers into the mortar well..."

You may have a point, but I never saw a 280's crew walk off the ship and leave it unattended, I never ran aground in winter harbour during my 280 years, I never wiped out the triple pylons holding up pier 69 in Seattle on a 280 or cut the boat deck off another 280 and I sure as never saw an entire change of command including the crew in Port Hardy done with just a handshake between two officers and no paperwork.

All those things happened when I was on the boats which is pretty scary considering none of them were what you'd consider a prank or a joke and none of them were caused by the hands.

There was alot less accountability years ago and it went for both the Regs and Reserves. It was the shit runs downhill approach and Officers who fucked up got promoted while the hands got charged.


And for the record I was one of those Chiefs who used to regale the other Chiefs with stories about the pig boats but, after having spent over 2 years on the Porte Dauphine I at least had lived through what I said above and at no time did I ever slag the enlisted personnel who worked for and with me because they at times may have played like sailors but for the most part were professional when they had to be.........some of the Officers..........not so much.

Next post I'll go through what I saw on the DE's 280's and the Tanker which was just as bad if not worse as what I saw on the Pig Boats.

Both services did the same things only differently if you get my drift.

It was definately a ton of fun, but that had gone by the wayside by the time I got out. I guess 9/11 really changed peoples perspectives.

But back to the original stor. IMO it's guys like this clown who don't seem to understand that people form impressions by the actions of the few and in this case he's hurt his unit and the army reserves as a whole.
