So long as you can show me evidence that mandatory minimums will decrease violence in our society. Or fires.. Or anything other than our ability to spend tax dollars on things we should be, like fixing roads and locking up dangerous criminals.

Curtman Curtman:
EyeBrock EyeBrock:
No, the difference between you and me is that I've seen the scumbags and the victims.

You, you've just seen the scumbags. No politics on this, it's my job, what do you do now drug-trafficker? Help grannies across the road?

Go on, tell us about the victims of prohibition.

Yawn, you are just another drug dealer telling us about how bad prohibition of narcotics is. I agree.

I just don't agree with fire-hazard grow-ops being within our communities. Those caught putting others at risk like this should at least get 6 months.

It's six months. A deterrent to many but it 'aint like what they get in the US.

Stopping those who are putting our communities at risk to make vast sums out of weed cultivation should be a priority of law enforcement.

We can't stop every illegal activity but we should concentrate our meagre resources on an industry that taps into hydro lines at severe risk of fire. Google it. Grow –ops are a huge concern in residential communities. But hey, you don’t care about the hazards you pose.

My sister lived across the street from a house that was busted by the police 3 times in 3 years for being a grow op. At a certain point is should become obvious that the landlord is not inocent.

She had to move because she didn't want her children to be caught by stray gunfire.

So stop supporting laws that make grow ops profitable.

Just leave grow-ops alone. Don't complain unless the fire reaches your house.

You think I'm a drug dealer. You haven't been reading anything.

Meager resources of 1 billion dollars every year to support gangsters.

Up is down, black is white, and mandatory minimums will get rid of grow ops that thrive on prohibition..

Wow.

Go on and finish your story about the victims.

The gangsters are the ones with the grow-ops. Locking up growers supports the gangsters.

That little nugget actually makes some sense.

Often the gangsters get caught at the grow-op. Probation really straightens 'em out.

Is your sarcasm-o-meter on here? I can't tell.

And you just keep on trying to justify how good it is that you 'were' a drug dealer. Last word time agin?

I still don't need to justify anything to you, I have a clear conscience, and a clear criminal record. I have had a speeding ticket once though.

If you want to play the last word game again, I'll play for a while.

Well, there's something of a point then. Cut through the dross, and Curtman's point of locking up the dumbass joe zigzag that gets caught might mean that users don't bother trying to grow their own but continue to buy from grow-ops.

I don't like what the Liberals have done by boosting it up to 200 plants, but throwing yahoos with five plants in jail makes no sense either. A better cut off that reflects personal consumption vice trafficking would have made far more sense.
