So what is it you'd like to see happen Old Chum? should we let the natives be? let them do what ever they wish? Its time for this nation to push back and if there is a bit of a civil war, isn't that good? The Tree of Liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants, from time to time. perhaps its the American in me but I'm really fed up the actions of some members of the native community. It time we threw them out into the cold to stand on their own two feet, its time we popped our collective titties out of their mouths and planted our collective feet in their asses. I don't care about government expenditures on native programs, I care that we are bending over backwards to cater to a community that acts without recourse. They act like WE were the ones who stole their lands, when in reality some of those people haven't been alive for 300 years. I don't care about their language programs, I care that they can invade peoples homes in Caledonia and deprive people of their property, I care that that a Federal Border Crossing was intimidated into closing by a band of thugs, I care that provincial parks have been occupied, cops have been shot, commerce has been disrupted, people have been beaten the list goes on, and all this happens without consequence, is part of that the government's fault? absolutely. But I'd also say its also the native community's fault. Repeal the Indian Act, make them pay taxes, make them pay for school, make them pay THEIR OWN way, and rule all their land claims are moot, and excersise imminent domain and take the reserves and force them to move into the cities, the rest of us assimilated into Canadian Society, so can they. /end rant
And as I said I do not have all of the answers but Iam sure there have been many natives abused by whites and the police over the years too so it is a two way street . Where were you when were in Saskatoon when for kicks the police drove natives out of town 60 miles while they were drunk then left them there. Without there jackets in the winter , maybe we should give you a chance to see if you are man enough not to bitch when you got back to town
