The way I see it; Harper got a very serious 'wedgie', front, and back.
We, the people in the front, looking him squarely in his baby blues, explaining exactly how unhappy we are thus far with his performance, or lack thereof.

The coalition in the back, of course, whispering in his ears, with glee, all that they will do to him when the crotch in his boxers rips!

The tears start to roll, and Harper screams 'MOMMEEEE, HELP ME!

Mme.Jean comes running and makes all of us agree to 'slack off a wee bit. Just enough for Stevie to take a bit of the weight on his tippy-toes'.

We do as she has asked of us, but warn 'Little Stevie' that although we don't quite have him 'by his short and curlies', we will retain our grip on the front of his boxers, and a good sharp twist could happen in a heartbeat!

This enforced delay should give all them dickheads the time to come up with viable economic plans instead of kneejerk reactions or poisonous riders.

But they won't. They'll continue shovelling the BS at each other and we'll end up with more utopian nonsense or plans that have a need to spank some group or another. Where's that whiffle bat...

If the Libs are smarter than I think they are, they'll replace Dion before the "new session", and then I don't think there's any way out for Harper. The coalition will shitcan him on the first confidence motion, and election or GG approving the coalition, the Conservatives are going to reorganizing out in the wilderness again.

I held an informal poll in our own family about an hour ago. Of the 17 voting members in our family in three provinces (all previously voted Conservative for the past few elections, including me), 5 openly and unconditionally supported the coalition. 14 including those 5 preferred the coalition over the present Conservative government with varying degrees of discomfort.

More interestingly is that only one of us is still planning to vote Conservative if another election is called. 3 have switched to the Liberals if Dion is gone, otherwise 16 of the 17 (including me) is going anywhere but Conservative (unless there’s a huge shakeup there and Harper is dumped). That one guy still voting Conservative is another one of those screwballs that would vote blue even if Hitler was in charge (he’s 90 now, he allowed! ). For anyone offended ------------ again. Bite me. :P

It’s too bad the polling firms never called any of us. Two more months of raving bullshit.

$1:
Steven Harper wants to shut down
parliament just because he does not agree with it.

Some say this is unprecedented.

In fact, Harper is following
parliamentary tradition.
Consider the following precedents:

1629 King Charles I in England
1799 Napoleon in France
1913: Victoriano Huerta in Mexico
1933: Adolf Hitler in Germany
1936 Fransisco Franco in Spain
1939: Benito Mussolini in Italy
1973: Augusto Pinochet in Chile
2008: Steven Harper in Canada

Well...
[Obvious bullshit]
As a long time Liberal and member of the Laurier Club, I often have occasions through my work at the CBC, to talk to many high placed Liberal party people, and the topic of leadership often comes up. As we all know, the tradition of alternating between candidates from Quebec and Ontario was changed since Martin, when he, in a magnanimous gesture, included members of the animal kingdom. Well since that, who could not have fallen in love with that plucky little monkey king. He was so bold and alive, with his little back pack and all, it made even the oldest and stodgiest of us smile…
.. And so Dion became our candidate..
[/obvious bullshit]

nuts.
