Yes it was her choice and I agree that she should have the right to make that choice. Andyt stated that he wants to be able to pull the plug on people because he fells their life is no longer viable giving them no choice in the matter of their deaths. Thus he has gone from assisted suicide to murder as being acceptable.
Have you followed Bobbi Kristina Brown's story? (Whitney Houston's daughter, 21 years old).
From what I read in the press (and we all know that might as well be a load of shit, but lets say it is true) she is brain dead. She cannot make the choice to stay on respirators forever (just because the family can afford it... most people can't), but there is no hope for her to ever come back to life. From what I read, the doctors have told the family that, and she will be taken off 'life support' (which is not what it is because she is brain dead so no life to support...), respirators, tomorrow, on her mother's anniversary of her death.
Would you keep her on a respirator forever because you can or would you peacefully let her pass? The doctors cannot do anything for her anymore...
*Edit
Yes, it was my grandmother's choice. But she wouldn't have that choice if euthanasia would have been illegal... The morphine she was prescribed eventually killed her...
