Thanos Thanos:
Neither's a couple of celebrity assholes telling people that innoculations that have saved uncounted millions of lives over the last hundred years are demonically responsible for causing an epidemic of autism. All the reputable scientists and doctors that joined in on the anti-innoculation movement have retracted their support as it turned out they were all lied to and fooled by false data created by the ones who started the movement. Yet idiots like Carrey and McCarthy kept spreading their propaganda regardless. If there was ever a polio, whooping cough, or small pox outbreak among the non-immunized who refused to get shots for their children after they got terrorized with propaganda from Jim and Jenny the death toll would be worse than anything Charlton Heston or the NRA have ever managed to pull off. But in a world where left-wing conspiracism of the Carrey/McCarthy/Michael Moore variety is somehow seen as noble and good-hearted, and not as identical to the same wretched and disgusting nonsense that right-wing conspiracism is, no one will bother to notice. Can't not listen to our Caring and Important Celebrities, can we? Not when they merely want what's good for all of us.
I don't think they were ever going for funny when they went on that stupid campaign. Personally, I get the flu shot every couple years and keep my kids' vaccinations fully up to date.
Having said that, everybody is allowed to have stupid ideas and/or wrong opinions.
