And turns your large intestine into a cannon.

That's the "fun" side effect.

I've never had any problems with spicy foods... as for that wine, depends on what curry you're eating... you could try a Gewürztraminer.

I'll take your word for it. I cannot eat spicy food. Gerwurztraminer is German though right? Not quite curry?

Oh, its a wine.

Which goes better with curry?

Beer. Curry and beer go together like strawberries and cream.

That is true. So to does the inevitable 2 hour toilet jaunts.

The English have beer & curry. Here it is Taco Bell & beer. End result is the same.

Myself I always preferred the Kebab shops.

There some really good, lightly spiced Indian dishes that are amazing. Authentic rules, the Anglicised/US/Can versions are tame and bland.

The best meal in my life so far was in a very high end curry house in Manchester my family took me to. The food was just outstanding. Beer was good too!

Well being allergic to spices means even mild has a harsh reaction in me. Hell Bell peppers cause me to be sick.

When I think of England I think of breakfast shops. Nobody on earth does breakfast like the English. I used to frequent this one shop where I lived and that is all they did. Open from 4 Am til 4 PM. Wonderful breakfasts. Eggs, bacon, toast, mushrooms, potatoes, toast ...... [drool]

Wonderful. Other shops had awesome bacon sandwiches. That & pub food. Never once entered a curry shop in England and never once did I want for a good meal.
