Curtman Curtman:
EyeBrock EyeBrock:
So the Tories are cowards twice and the Liberals are cowards four times?

You're trying to make me defend the Liberals for using the same tactic. I won't do it. I am against it, and I want to do something about it.

I'm not trying to make you do anything. Despite the little "C" next to my name, i don't live and die by the Tory sword. I just think it's really sill for the Libs to feign shock and horror over this when they all know that it's the Senate issue that's behind this Tory move.

The Senate has blocked yet another bill that received a majority vote in the Commons. This time Harper had a choice. Prorogue and appoint 5 more Tory senators and get this bill and future bills that the elected MP's pass through the house.

All this bluster about 'ignoring the will of the people' is made all the more silly and transparent by the fact that Chretien did it four times, something the media and the Libs are quite happy to ignore.

Really, if you partisan types go for these issues, you should make sure you are doing it from the moral high ground or it just looks like what it really is.

Partisan hypocrisy.

Like I say, the Libs can vote against the budget if they dare.

Scape Scape:
130,000 strong...

Still way off the highly topical and important "I don't sleep enough because I stay up late for no reason" page with 4,000,000 fans.

And still a way off beating the 2,000,000 "I Love Cookie Dough" movers and shakers.

The people have spoken.

So you are for prorogation without consent of the house? That's the official position of EyeBrock?

Or you'd rather not say as usual probably.

What are you wittering on about curtman?

Would you like me to translate my words into something you can comprehend? Or are you going to start making stuff up again? You have a lot of previous offences on that one.

Stay on topic.

Are you for prorogue, or against?

The context being? A letter to the MP and to the local paper has a voice as well. I have written to both as well as the GG and have advised everyone I know to do the same.

Did you do that when Chretien prorogued Parliament to stop the Somalia Judicial Enquiry? Or the other three times he prorogued the House for various other partisan reasons?

Do you use that as an excuse not to do it now?

No. 20 years ago I would not have written to anyone.
