tritium: You're the troll here.
You start a thread based on letters to the editor, simply because it had a provocative headline. There's simply no substance here.

Lily: What are you adding to this thread by stalking people?

Why the hell would you send me an insulting PM on this? I'm not going to post it because I'm not an asshole but do not send me any more messages. This is a public discussion and if you're embarassed that this thread is based on crap, then you need to deal with that.

Do you ever have anything intelligent to add to a debate? God, it's like a broken record wiht you whining about the Liberals no matter what the topic is, and wanting the mods to come in and shut down any discussion at hand. You should move to North Korea. They don't allow any criticsm of government there, so you should be pretty happy.

P.S. Actually, you are an asshole.

He's a first-rate suck, that's for sure. He has the gall to add almost nothing to any thread - other than aping other's blogs - and when his ignorance is busted wide open, he invents motives for others, dodges questions and refuses to accept responsibility for his ignorance.

Accusing people of stalking is pretty low.

3rd post in this thread; Quick and to the point.
5 pages later, have we got any new details on these letters?
No. Great thread guys.

Yeah, the scary thing is that he keeps setting new lows for himself.

Well that's a peon for ya. I love it when the little hypocrite starts chastising others for crap he can't abstain from himself! Brilliant. And wait till Mr. Politics calls you a "centralist".  Talk about a willfully ignorant.

Perhaps the shameful thing here should not really be about what the current Govt should or should't do.

The true shame is more about that a citizen of this country was even allowed to go back to its native land and fight alongside insurgents while at the same time using a grenade and killing a soldier in the process.

Therefore, if he, or his family, feels that strongly about their own cause, that is supporting terrorism, perhaps they do not belong in Canada. These soldiers are fighting for freedom, that same freedom which allowed the Khadr family to immigrate to Canada. In all, the shame here is about Omar Khadr himself, and not so much about the Harper Govt.

This was the one that caught my eye:

lily lily:
Do you have anything of value to add here, meaden? Or do you plan to sling yet more insults?

I would imagine that Geneva would apply but the alternative would be the law of the country where the crime happened. Would it be better if we released him to the Afghan government?

Just think of all the bandwidth we could have saved if this POS caught a bullet in the head in the first place.

I'm just hanging out waiting for Bodah to explain what the Geneva Convention has to do with Guantanamo Bay.

Geneva Conventions apply to prisoners of war, which Jihad Omar is.

I like the fact that the Canadian government stepped up and gave aid to Brenda Martin who was in prision in Mexico.

But a find an growing pattern when it concerns citizens being held by the United States.

Either the Canadian government is afraid to fight for rights of Canadians against the USA, or they just don't give a shit?

Canadian On Death Row in Montana

Canadian held at Guantanamo

Sorry,, but the Canadian Gov't did not step up with aid to Brenda Martin... it was forced to do so by public outcry.. the same outcry that is being bantied about now for this chump... Brenda Martin was a totally different issue.. this person is a terrorist and murderer as is his family and should be shot and pissed on...

As this guy states, harper is a disgrace and a lackey and a shill for U.S. interests, nothing more.

How much longer are Canadians going to stand by while Stephen Harper continues to play lackey to a failed, globally-discredited, and possible criminal, lame-duck administration in Washington?

I refer specifically to the case of Omar Khadr, the last citizen of a Western country still imprisoned in the infamous Guantanamo Bay concentration camp. Despite comments from U.S. officials, including Khadr's military lawyer, on the apparently flimsy evidence of his guilt, Harper still insists on a hands-off approach.

New video evidence this week seems to demonstrate clearly that Khadr was indeed, indisputably, subjected to torture. But Harper, presumably drawing on other information sources, maintains that Khadr has been well treated. The video evidence, we must therefore conclude, is to his eyes, a lie.

It becomes increasingly clear that, for Harper, as for President George Bush, truth and lies depend entirely on your political inclination.

Canada once stood, in the days of Nobel Peace Prize winner Lester B. Pearson, as a beacon of decency, hope and morality in the world. I, for one, am more and more embarrassed and ashamed as our current Prime Minister disgraces our country, and debases that legacy, before the rest of the global community.

Very well put!! It would be nice to have Canada back to the #1 place in the world to live, as rated by the United Nations.

1996 U.N. - The World's Best Country to Live in

Top 10

1. Canada
2. Norway
3. United States
4. Japan
5. Belgium
6. Sweden
7. Australia
8. Netherlands pia
9. Iceland
10. United Kingdom

Those where the days when being Canadian ment something.

Now it's just a bunch of selfish, greedy and bigoted Canadian's who don't care about the enviornment and would sell their own Grandmother for a barrel of oil running the country.
