Meaning the NDP beat the SPA in 8/12? I'll take that legislature. 12 seats, 8 NDP, 4 SPA. NDP majority!

So did you vote for Leo Ollenberger who got beat by the NDP 584-211, or Daniel Doherty who got beat 300-170 by the NDP?

How much money and union (ALBERTA FEDERATION OF LABOUR) support to the NDP have compared to the SPA.   Good way to piss away people's union dues

In fact, you're full of shit, yet again. In none of those four races did the NDP candidate recieve even one contribution over $375.01 (the threshold for reporting). In every one of those races, the SPA candidate recieved at least one donation in excess of that threshold, and sometimes by quite a bit:

Little Bow:

CONTRIBUTIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS
NORTON, MURRAY ARROWWOOD $520.00 Cash
SHAW, GRANT VULCAN $532.52 Valued
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total: 2 Receipts $1,052.52

Olds Didsbury Three Hills:

CONTRIBUTIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS
MCLAUGHLIN, SARAH CARSTAIRS $1,164.37 Cash
VASSEUR, BRIAN CARSTAIRS $2,000.00 Cash
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total: 2 Receipts $3,164.37

Rocky Mountain House:

CONTRIBUTIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS
HUTTON, R BRUCE ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE $1,000.00 Cash
MILNE, JUDY RED DEER $1,000.00 Cash
STOLARYK, ROB RED DEER $744.00 Valued
CONTRIBUTIONS FROM CORPORATIONS
607610 (ALBERTA) LTD ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE $657.64 Cash
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total: 4 Receipts $3,401.64

Strathmore Brooks:

CONTRIBUTIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS
KOLODY, GEORGE CALGARY $500.00 Cash
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total: 1 Receipts $500.00

I know that doesn't exactly say much for the NDP or their candidate in those ridings that they didn't manage to get any contributions, but it makes the SPA and their candidate's beating the NDP candidates a shallow victory, and still gaves them nothing to show for even with over $8100 in donations in those four races alone.

Here's where you can get this info.

Wow. Those ads are pretty corny to begin with (what's with the fake ominous whispering?), but that mp3 was just pathetic (slide guitar? way to shed the redneck image guys). Besides, you want to ban union contributions to political campaigns? Fine, but ban corporate donations too. The customers and employees of those companies don't have any more say over where the profits from their purchases and labor go to than the union members do over where their dues go, so be consistent.

Also I see you're staying silent on the fact you were dead fucking wrong about the SPA having no campaign budget.

Yeah just like the ones paid with someones union dues without having a say.The customers and the employees don't pay mandatory union dues. If I give a company my money I don't get a say in what they do with it.thats a stupid fucking comparison if I ever heard one.
The NDP would be fucked if the donation rules you speak of were put in
place.

The NDP Party of Alberta goes back to Aug 1, 1932 the ASP party began on June 2004....gee who do you think would have had more funds in a 2004 election [?]

you never answered my questions http://www.canadaka.net/modules.php?nam ... c&start=45

"Its still more expensive to buy a house in many other parts of the country....where the economy sucks.

You whine because everything is not "perfect" in Alberta.....suck it up pansy or hit the road.

You own a house and have a job, relatively new car?..not enough... you deserve more right?why?

I worked my ass off since I was in junior high school and I never qualified for a mortgage until I was 29.

You're 27, have you ever really had to look for a job? and not have a choice over which one you want?

Maybe a slow down that you keep wishing for will make you see it differently. careful what you wish for."

I'm a blowhard shitface.

Why yes you are. What possible justification could there be for allowing corporate donations /activity while banning union donations / activity?

You said they had zero money. That was provably false. Stop pulling the goalposts back you intellectual halfwit.

You want to challenge me to respond to a post in a given thread, do it in THAT thread.

Oh, and nice touch copying kenmore's avatar. It was mildly amusing when ziggy did it. Now (that is to say after ziggy and I talked about it) it's just lame.
