Say are you Pro Kyoto? If so why?

Didn't you see his LIBRANO icon? Think about it----LIBRANOs don't.

I have a LIBRANO icon, but do not believe in Kyoto.

I have the Conservative icon, and believe in strong social programs, socialized health care for all.

An icon means nothing, many Liberals do not agree 100% with Liberal policy. Nevertheless, I think Canada is more a Liberal country than Conservative.

Brainwashed.

Not at all hwacker.

The Conservative Party of Canada has gone by a variety of names over the years since Canadian Confederation. Initially known as the "Liberal-Conservative Party", it dropped "Liberal" from its name in 1873, although many of its candidates continued to use this name.

However, Canada's history shows a more Liberal ideology over the true Conservative Bible-thumping evangelical neocons view of the world.

my comments on the australia election ,

not sure came to its sense the right term for what happened there .

more the desire for change proved to much for government which had been in power for 11 years . i'm guessing that proved to be a major reason for new government there , that kind of thing happens all the time , look at saskatchewan as example , economy was doing good but ndp was viewed as being in power too long.

wouldn't the evangeilicals be classified more as a theocractic party than conservative ? thus the us with bush is more moved towards a theocracy than true conservatism.?

Just goes to show that Albertans are the dumbest voters in the world for keeping the same bums in power for over thirty years, and showing absolutely no indication of changing any time in the next thirty either....

Streaker Streaker:

Sorry, but members rewriting the headline is fairly common for the newslinks, I've noticed, so I thought I would make it a little punchier.

Yep, I see nothing wrong with what Streaker did here. He's posting it and his description better describes what it is he takes away from the story and it better describes the part of the story he believes is relevant for discussion.

Yeah I'm not comfortable with the bible thumpers.

Canada seems to have a recurring theme of puritanical christian political movements originating from the wide open spaces of the praires.

The old Progressives....

Social Credit.....

Reform.......

But then I am even less comfortable with the eastern academic, politically correct, socialists.........

You really should not take it for granted that everyone in the east is like me.
