I call this issue news.
And it matters.
The Jessica Yaniv issue began about a year ago. At that time his chosen name of Jessica or given name of Jonathan were never mentioned. He was simply mentioned as JY. You didn't dare mention the guy's name - given or chosen - because he was having anybody deplatformed or dragged before human rights tribunals anybody who dared to speak or behave in any manner he might possible find critical of him or his actions. The government, media and social media appeared to be supporting him.
In this way the whole story of Jessica/Jonathan was kept quiet or written off as a trans "activist" fighting for her rights.
Stifling of speech is news.
He went too far when encouraged by all the nonsense he was getting away with he viciously went after Lindsay Shepherd getting her banned from Twitter for responding in kind.
This resulted in Lindsay taking the gloves off regardless of consequences and revealing truths about what up to then had been referred to as JY and naming him as Jessica.
From there other social media investigators began digging into the issue and discovered things so large and ugly even the one-time Mainstream media had to at least mention them.
Yaniv now appeared to be more a predator hiding under a disguise protected by what some call the
the Progressive Stack"Immigrant entrepreneurs were being driven from their jobs for refusing to wax "Jessica's" balls. That's news.
The kangaroo courts of Canadian Human Rights tribunals appeared to be getting abused once again. That's news.
Not just his abuses but the fact he'd been getting away with it for so long and was so emboldened he was trying to organize a topless swim for 12 year olds and up (banning parents from the event) became news. And as each new and old abuse became revealed it became more and more difficult to cover up.
So now progressive socialists can only go "Wah! Not news. Leave Jessica alone!" except it is and that's not going to happen. You don't leave a news story alone.
