Jabberwalker Jabberwalker:

I think the NATO council has to invoke that article first; it doesn't go into effect immediately.

Also, ISIS isn't a recognised nation state.

Still, if it was ISIS behind this, I'd say it's finally time to make Raqqah look like Passchendale after the war.

Neither was al Qaeda, so we went after their mentors, the Taliban.

So, who mentors ISIS? Hmmm. How about Pakistan?

Only peripherally if at all. It's the west coast of the Persian Gulf that provides most of the support for these bastards.

I'm all for nuking that place but I suspect it might be problematic in a lot of ways.

If they nuked Saudi Arabia it would cut all the active evil in the world by at least half.

Another dark day for the world. :(

Horrific that so few could yet again bring so much fear and sorrow upon so many innocent people for no reason whatsoever.

This puts Trudeau in a corner because as a member of NATO if the article is invoked there's no way he can pull the CF18's.

If Bush nuked Afghanistan in the aftermath of 9/11 it probably would have solved the problem of Islamic Extremism because they do it again Mecca is next.

What's eerie is this movie predicted what the West is facing right now.

And it was also a powerful indictment of the military overstepping it's power and demonizing all Muslims.

What kind of nutbar world do you live in where nuking a whole nation would for the action of a few extremists would actually solve problems. Thank God our governments aren't that insane. Jesus Christ.

And yet it's still less insane in hindsight than letting these assholes into our countries in the first place turned out to be.

The samething happended to the Japanese during World War 2.

The World we live in is where nuking Afghanistan after 9/11 would have been the only thing these savages would understand.

1) Nuke Saudi Arabia
2) Arabia becomes a liberal democracy and a leader in science, manufacturing and interactive media.

There's no way this can fail.

I'm sorry but it's far to late to go nuking any middle eastern country. The damage has been done to us by decades of quiet Muslim immigration, politically correct liberalism and the demented belief that multiculturalism without some form of assimilation is preferable to mild ethnocentrism.

So, if we decide to fix the problem by nuking the Middle East to eliminate the radicals allow me to point out that to be truly effective, we'd probably have to call in air strikes on our own positions.

I'm a realist, 153 dead in Paris is proof the only thing these savages will understand is complete destruction.

If Bush nuked Afghanistan after 9/11 and said Mecca is next they would have backed the f*** off, enough of the pandering to these savages.

Sure, indiscriminately attacking Muslims whom have nothing to with Isis should fix everything. There is no way this could broaden ISIS' appeal to disenfranchised young Muslims and would-be Muslim converts.
Our own injustices will almost certainly convince them that we are the good guys.

I do wonder why France is the chosen target here.

10% Muslim population, and the gates are wide open.
At least the UK still has the Channel.

BeaverFever BeaverFever:
My guess is that like pretty much all of the attacks in recent years, this was carried out by local extremists who attacked France because that's the country they already lived in.

Your guesses, especially while busy apologizing, are famously wrong.

And what difference would it make to you if this was local Muslims, or those
who walked in without any checks from the ME ?

Oh right, blame it on the locals so your precious import program won't be challenged.

You can't buy AK's and explosives at the local marche in France, they had to come from somewhere.

$1:
The terrorists shot at us for 10 to 15 minutes. It was a bloodbath." Julien Pearce didn't hear the attackers speak, but he said one friend who escaped heard them talk about Iraq and Syria. Later, he said the men were speaking French.
It would be easier for a local group to coordinate this kind of attack.
