Xort Xort: wildrosegirl wildrosegirl: That's correct. You have no more actual knowledge of this topic than you do of menstrual cramps, so to continue attempting to have a conversation would be an absolute waste of time. Not something I fancy. What I see is someone that was caught short when pressed to support their point of view, and is now falling back to the most comical of defenses. "I can't even express how wrong you are you are so wrong. In fact I won't even try!" Maybe next time you will just keep your opinions to yourself if you are unwilling to express anything other than you being so massively right that you don't even have to say anything in support of yourself. Or to put it another way; Adults are talking here, hush. Go play with your toys in the other room. Not at all. I simply don't waste time "debating" with someone who has 0 knowledge. Taking your toys elsewhere would be a very good idea.

Your sense of empathy may not be as developed. I had "Sunny Boy" hot cereal with dried figs and apples. No guilt here. But I do get my bacon and eggs from Hutterites, who are very caring when it comes to all aspects of their animals. And for $40 a chicken, they better be!

wildrosegirl wildrosegirl: Alta_redneck Alta_redneck: Something that makes my head shake is that pretty well everyone thats posted on this thread agrees with the seal hunt ( I could be wrong, that hasnt been brought for a couple years ) but this bothers them. Don't agree with that at all, nope. You want seal meat, kill the poor thing with a .22. Instant death - enjoy. Suffering involved - go to hell. Should we call you Instant Death? You mean to tell us you've never had to walk the bush looking for an animal that didn't drop on 1 shot. Or perhaps arriving at the scene of the kill and you have to put another shot into it's brain because it was still kicking. How long do those animals suffer? Don't tell us how ethical hunting is, because it's far from what you make it out to be.

Actually I found out I had empathy while trying out a new pelt pistol on gophers. All that was doing was breaking bones, I couldn't continue and had to put the gun away. I just had a couple of eggs @ $2.79 a dozen, but I had non conflict coffee.

Actually, there are many vets across North America who while not fans of the seal hunt, have stated that using a hakapik is a humane method as it causes instant death.

In regards to WRG's comment about hunting seals, you can walk right up to them and put one in their head from inches away. If you STILL can't make it a clean kill, you'd probably be better off taking up gardening or something.

We get a call every doomsday and we get a bag full of fresh ones for twelve dollars each. I am thinking that means I win which is a lot of fun so I am bragging and have a happy TGIFF! ![Cheer [cheer]](./images/smilies/icon_cheers.gif)

What are you buying Kobe chicken?? $ 40 a bird is waaaaay beyond what you should be paying for any ethically raised poultry.

I can usually talk them down to $30 or $35, but those Hutterite women are tough customers! I don't buy them all too often though. I'd like to meet DonnaWho's source! That's almost cheaper than a store bought chicken!

We're getting about a dozen at Christmas from neighbours of my in-laws at about $16 a bird, averaging 5 1/2 to 6 lbs each.
