So, turns out the town was warned the Boko's were coming. 15 soldiers bravely held off 200 jihadis, until they ran out of amunition. There had been desperate calls for reinforcements, which never came. Really sad.

Bill Maher isn't a fan of religion in general, and Islam specifically, because it seems to concentrate the worst aspects of all religions past and present. Again, the world would be a better place if Christians followed the teachings and example of Christ more, and if Muslims followed the teachings and example of Mohammed less.....and if everybody was a bit more Buddhist in general.

Before we work ourselves up in too much of a frenzy because of the outrage du jour:

$1:
Human sex trafficking is the most common form of modern-day slavery. Estimates place the number of its domestic and international victims in the millions, mostly females and children enslaved in the commercial sex industry for little or no money.1 The terms human trafficking and sex slavery usually conjure up images of young girls beaten and abused in faraway places, like Eastern Europe, Asia, or Africa. Actually, human sex trafficking and sex slavery happen locally in cities and towns, both large and small, throughout the United States, right in citizens’ backyards.

Appreciating the magnitude of the problem requires first understanding what the issue is and what it is not. Additionally, people must be able to identify the victim in common trafficking situations.

Not only is human sex trafficking slavery but it is big business. It is the fastest-growing business of organized crime and the third-largest criminal enterprise in the world.2 The majority of sex trafficking is international, with victims taken from such places as South and Southeast Asia, the former Soviet Union, Central and South America, and other less developed areas and moved to more developed ones, including Asia, the Middle East, Western Europe, and North America.3
http://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/publi ... rafficking

While Human trafficking has existed for centuries all over the world, it has become an increasing concern for countries in the Balkan part of southern Europe since the fall of Communism.

The collapse of the Soviet Union has been identified as one of the main contributing factors in explaining the recent increase in human trafficking. It provided both human capital and new regional opportunities to fuel the expansion.[7] After this period, trafficking victims, primarily women, expanded to include more diverse forms, aided by the rise of organized crime, corruption, and the decline of borders.[8] Porous borders and close proximity to Western Europe have made it easier and cheaper to transport victims within the region and abroad.[7]

The selling of naïve and desperate young women into sexual bondage has become one of the fastest growing criminal enterprises in the global economy. Because of the economic hardships this region has experienced since the fall of the Soviet Union, good living conditions and available work have been lacking.
Young women must often leave their homes to find work in the cities because their family’s small enterprises do not yield enough to sustain their family. These girls usually migrate around the country alone, which makes them easy targets for traffickers. Often, young women who are attempting to find legitimate work are tricked by agents with promises of a job. Once they have reached their destination, the girls’ papers and documentations are taken and they are forced to work as sex slaves and prostitutes. Another way women become vulnerable is by entering a country illegally, or overstaying their visas. They turn to criminals to help them stay. One of the common methods used by traffickers is debt-bondage in which the traffickers tell their victims that they owe money relating to their travel and living expenses and that they will not be released until the debt has been repaid.[1][2][4][6]
Crime groups in the Balkans and the former Soviet Union have achieved success by being flexible and alternating their routes and methods to suit the rapidly changing global market.[8] Previous work experience and high education levels have enabled traffickers to "produce fraudulent documents, utilize advanced communications technology, and operate successfully across borders."[8] Their personal connections and ability to utilize advanced technology has been a challenge for many governments and law enforcement agencies seeking to investigate and prosecute traffickers.

As usual, andy likes to focus on White Slavery, because it appeases his white guilt.

Fact is slavery is a much bigger problem in Africa and Asia.

$1:
The Global Slavery Index 2013 states that 10 nations account for 76 per cent of the world’s enslaved. India has the most slaves of any country at 14 million; over 1% of the population. China has the second-largest number with 2.9 million slaves, followed by Pakistan with 2.1 million, Nigeria with 701,000, Ethiopia with 651,000, Russia with 516,000, Thailand with 473,000, Congo with 462,000, Myanmar with 384,000, and Bangladesh with 343,000.[7]

Only Russia makes the top 10.

There could be up to 30 million people in some form of bondage on Earth.

They're not all working as prostitutes in Amsterdam.

Why are these 200 making the news ?

Nice twist Martin, as usual. All those slaves in India and China are kept by Muslims, are they? As usual you and your yobos want to make it a Muslim issue, when it turns out its a worldwide problem. 200 girls abducted makes a good headline, feeds all you idiots and your blame the Muslims. The truth is a little different.

Listen you stupid idiot, you can point out anywhere in this thread where I said
slavery was only a Muslim problem.

It isn't, but Islam is a willing and happy participant.

For the rest, there are far more slaves being held in non white countries,
and yet you focus only on Europe.
Like slavery elsewhere doesn't exist, only whitey does it.

Just calling your retarded bullshit, a lot of people here have to do it
on a daily basis.

No, in this case your buddy Brah made it about Islam. I pointed out that this is a worldwide problem, and you chose to jump in and make it a white vs nonwhite issue.

So where does Maher's insight that the problem is Islam leave us? Any further ahead? No.

Lord's Resistance Army does the same kind of thing. Hutu and Tutsis. There's tons of marauding hordes in Africa. The behaviour of all is simialr--kill the adults in extremely nasty ways, steal the children. They aren't all Muslim. They are all black though. Let's see Maher post that: "keep pretending the central problem isn't the Negro." I'd love to see that, just for the fireworks.

Bill Maher deserves credit for calling out the problems with Islam and at least his head isn't burried in the sand when it comes to situations like this. Should the United States carry out drone strikes killing these Islamic Extremists so called human rights groups will be faster to condemn the use of drones before condemning the brutal kidnapping of these girls.

It seems to me that Post Factum is upset about what I said about Ukraine, and is now cheering Martin like a little puppy.

Maher doesn't have to do a thing, since Martin already made this a racial thing, and how the majority of slave keepers aren't white.

What gets ignored in the breathless headlines is how many women and girls are taken as sex slaves all over the world, every day. Because that's not the Muslim outrage du jour, let's not worry about it tho.

Read this again, very attentive, he is not telling that it was only Muslim problem. Even I, with my horrible English knowledge can see it. You just saw word "Muslims" and hang on, keeping it.
