To be straight I don't think I've ever gotten in shit on this forum.

Obviously there is a lot of tolerance then, and I don't mind.

I just don't normally have the reputation of being an asshole. Incase you missed it, my first post to you was a gentile reminder that you're somewhere new. As for my second post, I probably am guilty of whatever you accused me of (except threatening, wtf?). But frankly, I gave you rope, you chose the knot you wanted to tie.

I'm sure you can finish this phrase for me: "When in Rome...<insert phrase here>"

Now honestly, I like canadians. In fact I think that Canadians are some of the most likeable people around. Canada is viewed as a peace loving, progressive, and just country. Canadians are working for peace and helping out in all places where poeple are in need. I have French Candian friends and I don't know if there are any differences besides language, but if not, then I don't have an issue with them.
I was surprised by the aggression against Argentines. It doesn't seem Canadian like. I think it is unfounded.

Man, it's nothing against Argies. We just call it the way we see it when it comes to world politics. As for the hostilities against you, when you shit on someone's porch and tell them their white picket fence should be painted brown, what kinda reaction are you expecting? Backflips and candies?

Besides, you're too old to be trick-or-treating.

Dunno, some truck at the junk yard. I haven't got it yet. The plan is to get on 05-07 F-350 with a 6 litre in it, and drive it till the engine blows. In the meantime, acquire and refurbish an old 7.3 and mount a rebuilt BTS 4R100 tranny on it + a step-up/down unit before the T-case (might have to get one custom made :? ). Then use whats left of the the 6l as a parts motor for mom's pickup.

Thing about the 7.3 is if I'm going to refurbish one, might as well tweak it. Put a new oil system in, new turbo & intake, redo exhaust system, etc. Finish it off with a DP tuner chip. With normal driving emissions wont be a problem, and not only will I get more power than the 6, I'll get better milage. But if I throw on a 140 setting for the occasional fun time, there is going to be enough soot coming out the exhaust they'd have to repaint the stop lines every time I roll through an intersection.

That's kinda the idea, but not really. I'm actually looking for a reliable daily driver I can run on anything and do anything with. That's why I'm such a fan of the 7.3. It'll run a million miles on straight axel grease if you can find a to get the grease from the fuel tank to the injectors. Once I finish putting money into the parts I don't want to have to buy another vehicle for 20 years. All I want to have to worry about is buying parts, oil, and fuel (though I hope to be able to fuel up at the local Mcdicks). The only "tank" like aspects I'm going to go with is putting a bull bar on the front and back.

I haven't looked into it yet, but I'm wondering if there is a way to fit in springs strong enough to absorb the impact of a collision without bending the frame if I hit or get hit by something. If some idiot rear ends me at 50 or I hit a moose a 120, all I want to have to deal with is scratched paint.

And it should be fun. I don't know a whole lot about mechanics, and fuck all about rebuilding an engine. But I know people who do. Should be a fun learning process. Go big or go home.
