Nothing I posted would qualify as "rhetoric".
It is a fact that China started a war with Vietnam. It is a fact that the primary cause was because Vietnam toppled the PRC friendly Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. I never said or suggested the war was started to thin out the Chinese population.
You're making yourself look like an ass.
I'd say you are doing quite a good job yourself. You drew the connection between my referencing that China starting a war to thin out its population is akin to saying the US entered Vietnam as a way to thin out their black population to quell rising ethnic tensions (both are ludicrous).
You posting about the Sino-Vietnam war seemed more then anything to be "sure they could".
Oh, Vietnam invading Cambodia may have been part of it but it certainly wasn't all of it as they themselves claim otherwise:
The reason cited for the attack was the mistreatment of Vietnam's ethnic Chinese minority and the Vietnamese occupation of the Spratly Islands (claimed by the PRC).
Regardless, I'm not about to sit here and argue what happened. Unlike the never ending US occupations at least they withdrew.
I'm more interested in this dehumanizing tactic of claiming that the "enemy" is so awful they'll start a war simply to kill millions of their own people. Why don't you comment on that garbage for a change.
