andyt andyt: Oh, well, I'm a leftie, I can't help it. Not like the brawny righty tighty, rah rah military, eye protection is for pansies guys.
I really don't want to live in the US, and Cherry seems to embody a lot of what I see down there. I do sympathise. I come from a well UK Labour background. My Dad was well big in the union and as a kid I was into all the Socialist Worker stuff, Anti-Nazi League etc. For good reasons. Once I joined up I began to question the Leftist mantra my Irish parents were adamant about. I travelled to 55 countries, took part in a couple of wars and experienced the odd angry shot, I started to think for myself. The military is good for that. All of us who have served have probably had that shining and clear moment when bullshit no longer baffles us. andy, bullshit still baffles you mate.

I love the smell of pomposity in the morning. Oh, yeah, that's it. You guys have clarity. Got the world figured out. You guys sure are a self-congratulatory bunch. If you think the rightwing doesn't have it's share of bullshit, you'd better re-up to get some more clarity. I used lefty just to set myself off against the reflexive sort of rightwing patriotic bullshit that Cherry is selling, and seems to be bought here. Rah rah the troops, and anything you say against their mission and you must be a traitor. As the article said, unquestioning support. Very bad stuff. If your parents were dogmatic lefties, I probably wouldn't have that much in common with them. Still respect them tho, because at least they care about their fellow man. Just don't see that solutions need to come from all over the spectrum. Often the middle is the right place to be.

Holy Christ andy, why don't you just make yourself a macro of that phrase and save yourself some time. Are you really having a problem distinguishing between news and opinion? Or worse, selective/creative editing? Don has unquestioning support true. But it's unquestioning support for the young men and women that go where they are asked to go by Canada. It is entirely possible to support our troops without approving of the gov'ts decision to send them wherever. The again, I have ZERO idea why you're bitching about the him being a righty, patriotic bullshitter. Last time I checked, it wasn't the righties that sent our troops to A-stan, so in effect, you primary whining point seems to be that he's supporting a lefty decision. Zyprexa, it does wonders for bi-polar disorder

Poor Don. The Canucks just laid a beating on his beloved San Jose Sharks and Bieksa tuend Marlowe to boot. "Good Canadian Kid" Ben Eager blew the game for his whole team taking dumb penalties. So Cherry shows a few Doug Murray hits and then moves to the Boston series on Coaches Corner.
I say we squid this clown if he dares show his ugly mug in Vancouver if we make the cup final. Maclean too.
GO CANUCKS AND CHERRY SUCKS!!!!
