You are right on that Andy. There will always be bullies. Hence, there will always be victims. All each of us can do is deal with whatever situations we come across. Of course, in order to accomplish this successfully, one must be 'necessarily vicious'. This definitely gets the message to the bully understood by him and also those he assossciates with. Most times a severe beat-down is sufficient. If, after you think you are 'done' he says " I'll get you for this"! Then, obviously your 'message' hasn't gotten thru to him, and you ain't done explaining yet! If, any of his 'buddies' mention it, or cause you or others further problems, the message still hasn't gotten thru and you still ain't done!

I applaud you Yogi, I myself have stuck up for others in my youth, if more kids were empathetic and willing to confront those that bully others then the world would be better place.

So what's your answer andy, a stern lecture?

Better to speak the language they understand, force met with force.

I'm not excusing bullying at all period, nor this guys behavior, not sure what gave you that idea, but perhaps the bully in this case is working out of ignorance and some education about what his young victim with cerebral palsy goes through day to day would ease the situation. I'm just stating that it's a different situation because of the disability, whereas most bullied kids have other issues that make them targets (weight, nerdiness, lack of trendy clothing ect...)

This is not so.

A BULLY understands WEAKNESS very well. They do not attack the strong.
They attack the weak and defenseless.

No problem. Maybe I'm getting a little less vengeful as I get older. 8)
