What makes you think he is not a good cop?

You may not like the way he presents himself on the internet, but that says absolutely nothing about the way he does his job, or even the way he is in real life.

He's not a good cop because he doesn't see any diff between rioters and legitimate protesters - if he can't do so on this forum, he likely can't do so on the job either, and that's dangerous.

There were plenty of legitimate protests there over the weekend. People with a cause who made a point peacefully.
We made sure they could get to their protest sites safely and that they could get their message out.
They didn't make the news because the media were not interested in them as they were peaceful.

The people you are defending had no cause, no point to make except that they hated the police.

I'm sure you would have followed those without a cause in an instant looking at your posts.

This isn't 'class war'. This is just a group of over educated white people who's myriad of supposed grievances don't resonate outside their tiny circles because they have no merit.

Most cops join the job because they believe in freedom and stopping societies bullies.

These people spitting at us and encouraging the mindless anarchists believe in nothing except selfishness. They don’t discuss or debate, they scream, bully and harass people to accept their message.

As long as they exist people like me will try to ensure that they don’t bully and harass the 90% of society who really are good people and look to us for protection and assistance.

You are so wrong curtman. Those guys are the snatch squads who ran into the crowds to pull the BB guys out. They were doing it all Saturday and Sunday so that these arse-holes could be stopped. They ain't in disguise, they were wearing badges and carrying issued weapons, batons in plain view of all.

These are the guys that ran into crowds of hundreds in groups of five to make us all safe.

Instead of trolling youtube for bad things on the cops you should try and do something more productive than drug trafficking or cop hating.

Stealing from stores via broken window = crime
destroying public property = crime

Ok, I'll give you that one, she was pretty scary. although clearly these guys were not pretending to be protesters, even though she could have fit in well with the hair, or was that a riot helmet?

Stupid telescopic batons don't look very threatening though. Yes they give a good sting but if I were there I'd much rather have the ol night stick batons. Longer reach, more solid and better gets the attention of the threat.

round and round we go. I've stated repeatedly that I respect the police and think they play a vital role in our society. If, that is, they are upholding people's rights. What i read in your posts was seeming to paint all protesters with the same brush. And, while I don't support it, if some protesters were calling the police names, I guess the police just have to stand there and take it. Just as on a personal level, if you hit me 'cause I called you a name, that's still assault.

If you can make a differentiation between legit protesters and the thugs, then good on ya - I sure hope so. Last time I raised this point, you didn't seem to, and that has me way more worried than a couple of hundred dick heads running riot. They are easily dealt with and have no support. Cops acting as agents of repression are far more dangerous.
