Voters want stability and the Harper gov., the longest running minority in Canadian history, has proven itself in a very harsh climate. I think they have a very good chance at it, expecially if we occupy other voters with bugs on TV screens.. :D

I don't think voters want harper at all.. stability maybe, but they won't get that with a harper majority... hope it never happens..

They tried the trick of spending money and kissing ass in Quebec, it backfired. Quebecers generally hate harpers guts... and for good reason!

Some fun and games for Ms May:

$1:
MAY FACES NOMINATION REVOLT

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May is being challenged by a member of her own party for the nomination in her chosen riding of Saanich – Gulf Islands, BC.

May will have to deal with newly-declared candidate Stuart Hertzog of Victoria, a Greenpeace activist who has been involved with the Green Party in Alberta and British Columbia since 1983, and who is the publisher of the website GreenPolitics.ca.

In a blogpost published late yesterday entitled "Why I am standing as a nomination candidate", Hertzog says he became involved in grassroots activism because "Secret decisions were made behind closed doors, in cabinet or at private meetings with corporate CEOs and lobbyists," that could only be fought by winning the war for public opinion. However, unfortunately he has seen that "the same tendency towards anti-democratic centralisation has become dominant in Canada’s Green parties"....

Layton...the guy who supports Hamas and Hezbollah?

He's the new great Canadian hope?

There's a reason that the NDP get 8% of the national vote.

You miss the whole point of Chretien's remark. A few million here and there bought tens of billions in investment and stability for a decade. He DID save the country.
Vs billions in spending that's brought only billions plus a billion more here and there in deficits.

No plan for the economy. (Free Trade with PANAMA woo-hoo!)
A true top-down LEADER with no team behind him (a la Gordon Campbell)
Unable to work with the Provinces and the Premiers.
No vision for the country short of 'cloning it into a copy of the USA'
Lacking social vision.
Poor foreign policy (Afghanistan, Africa, China, Russia... hell name a country he hasn't pissed off)
Continues to suck up the USA.

Time to show Harper the door. And show him (now he stole the name Conservatives) what the long knives are used for in that Party.

If Iggy has finished with his summer vacation and book signing, maybe his hawks can convince him to trigger an election. It would be a welcome change from the "bluff big then fold" tactics he picked up from Dion.

Yeah, demagogy.

Why they hate him so much is because Duceppe started talking shit about how he destroyed the culture (he touched 0,5% of the budget) and was against abortion (which was false).

Anyway, Harper has shown that he can deliver what he's promised and to be a good pm, regardless of what the opposition whines about. A majority would be a breath of fresh air from all that liberal whinning.
