Boy, that was disappointing. I truly expected more than just some "coalition with the Bloq = Bad" speech.

Tricks Tricks:
High treason is fun.

It's not treason if the Governor General approves it.

Hyack Hyack:
His only salient point was that Canada cannot be governed by a coalition party that relies on the separatist Bloc Quebecois.

And we've beat that issue to death.

A) His own government has used Bloc votes to stay in power.

B) Further excluding and alienating Quebecers is a far more serious crime then letting them have their say.

C) Any extreme act by ANY of the three parties will bring down the coalition.

You might consider a little grade eight social studies. The only people crying treason are those that have no clue about how our parliament works. A little less time watching American TV might be in order.

Like it or not, what’s happening is not only legal, it’s happened before and our system of government is set up to allow it.

I seriously believe Harper will do or say anything to save himself now. None of it is very statesman like.
Sorry pal. Webster's dictionary definition of treason

Since when is our government defined by Webster's dictionary? I thought it was defined by the Supreme Court, the constitution, and the mandate of the Governor General.

It was reassuring and reasonable which was exactly what Canadians needed to hear. If he showed any passion or anger, the hacks would have just dug into him.
I was listening to CKNW and 2 callers from the Libs and NDP both refuted their party and vowed never to vote for them again.

As for Dion's responce?? I couldn't understand it. It was beautiful and perfect.
The only thing that came through was "ding, ding ding.. back up the money truck".

Steve was middling, I expected a bit of contrition but he is in 'battle mode'. Looking a tad skinny too!

Dion was just like he was in the election. No change there, I'm sure he will make a great PM for a month or two until Harper takes it back again.

This is all a big waste of time.

Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya on the way out Stevie!

Well your avatar party symbols seem to prevent you from even trying to issue an non-partisan statement.

Me, I call it as it is. Maybe its the 'Per Ardua' in me as opposed to the infantry mentality.

Dion's performance was ....... I don't know what to call it, it wasn't good what ever you call it and talk about a bad camera shot. I'll let someone else comment on Layton because I hate the guy and think he's a slime ball so I'll probably come acros fairly partisan. Duceppe, once again proably put on the best show of the whole night.

One thing I thought was a bit odd was the fact that all three opposiion leaders gave separate speeches. Seeing as how they're so united why didn't the leader of this new coalition speak for all of them or at least have a joint speech with all three?

Perfect. A crystal clear reminder to the 74% of Canada who didn't vote for this man.
...and it couldn't have started off better for thre sedition-coalition than by this wonderful start.

7:29 Central... Lloyd Robertson: "Apparently the tape has not shown up yet, may not show up yet.... Goodbye for now"

I guess he needed a do over.
