All three publicly rejected a coalition before the election. It's now pretty clear that they were indeed plotting that coalition exacty when they denied that.
and it definately will divide the country more.

I am dead against what these 3 parties are doing, it's unconstitutional and will divide this country more.

it is NOT unconstitutional.

o.k I only learned about this topic yesterday and went off thinking the worse when I heard the hype spread by the Harperites about the Bloc PQ.

This is not unprescidented in Canadian politics. This is just a vote of no confidence motion.

After the 1925 election, Mackenzie King could maintain his majority only with their support of the Progressives. The Liberals lost a vote of confidence the following year. The Governor General refused King's request to dissolve Parliament and called on Arthur Meighen, Leader of the Opposition to form the government. However, this lasted only four days, until King called for a vote on the constitutional right of Meighen to govern. The Conservatives lost the vote and an election was called.

Dion's action may very well just force Canada into "another" election and millions more spent, unless this time the Governor General allows this action.

I still wish the NDP and Liberals would just officially merge into one political party and not remain two entities in a coalition.

The Bloc is only giving the NDP/Liberal coalition support in offering votes in the House to get this motion passed, other than that the Bloc is not part of the coalition.

So with this new knowledge and a more enlighten view of what is going on...

I have no opinion (not for and not against), just watching the show... [popcorn]

Dion how how long to come up with a plan before the election? All he did was confuse the hell out of everybody so much that at the end he was on record as saying the green shift was never a major focus anyways. WTF is he gonna come up with now?
Quebec sepratist party now has the power in Canada, this is shameful, Taliban Jack and Dion sleeping with the enemy.

Who said Canadian politics was boring.

During the U.S. election, media said they would like to see more excitment in Canadian politics... I guess they now have their wish.

1. I want to know how this indecision will effect the economy and U.S. relations?

2. When is Harper going to call Martial law?

3. Do you think this action may spawn radical FLQ type groups from the right to act out their protest?

wrong mtbr, the NDP and Liberal party are the coalition, the Bloc will just ensure they have enough votes in the house to pass the measure.

I not saying I agree with this... but I am looking at it from an honest view point and not through Kool Aid goggles.

This is history in the making.

I can't stand Dion, I actually prefer Harper or Layton over Dion. The votes said that in the last election when the Liberals lost ground and the NDP gained.

Nevertheless, I am so busy with work... politics sorta is not my main priority.
