Freakinoldguy Freakinoldguy: That's a little more than wardrobe advice. Most men can at least pick out their own underwear. A rugged outdoors man indeed. She tells him which knife he needs to skin that bear he shot after portaging for a hundred miles.

Huh, Mrs. Rev buys my clothes too. I don't like shopping. A lot of guys don't. Hell, she even buys my underwear. Why not, she's the one who sees me in them.
I know a lot of guys, mostly manly construction workers and truck drivers, who let their wives handle the money, including their business books. It's not a big deal, just the way they choose to divide their household labour.

$1: She's more of a outdoors man than Dion is Harper's wife is a man? No wonder he keeps her out of sight, Cheryl Gallant's head would explode if she knew.

Hey your wife's got a pair of orange pants she wants you to try on. Maybe they'll go with that shirt she bought you last Christmas.

Ah, so the Prime Minister should buy his own underwear? Do ya think PM Steve runs down to Wal-Mart on Saturdays to buy some jockey shorts or what?

Harper drew the line at riding on the back of Mrs. Harper's motorcycle. We're also told that this is the first PM that has ever had street hockey in front of his house. Suck it up, bitches. Street hockey at 24 Sussex Drive, and if the neighbor bitch, we'll sick the RCMP on them.

Jesus you Conservatives are ridiculous. Your obsession with what you perceive to be macho behaviour and your assertions that somehow only Conservatives partake in outdoor activities and sports is goofy.
Yes, the Trudeau kids played hockey. Yes they took part in, and still take part in, other outdoor activities. One of them died skiing, remember? One of them makes films, including in war zones.
Does that mean anything when it comes to political policy? No. People from right across the political spectrum play sports, watch sports, work construction jobs, and so on. The Conservative Party does not have a lock on that.
As for your anti-intellectualism...Why not take a look at Harper's background? Why not look at Harper's advisors, like Tommy "I hate Indians" Flanagan? Have a look at Harper's unelected staff...the ones that help him make the policy that gets dictated to the rest of the party with an iron fist. These guys are are all academics and intellectuals. They are all elitists to a far greater extent than those from other parties.
That they try to hide that...to lie about it...behind false populism says more about the Conservative Party than it does about anybody else. Why would a group of intellectuals, mostly unelected, mostly working in the back rooms, push a culture of "stupid is cool" on their followers then exploit that culture to deride others? Could it be that they don't want people to think for themselves?
