Very true. Sure Akon shouldn't have behaved that way, but it seems she did participate willingly and whether she changed her mind at any point or not (and it looks like she didn't), she is must take some responsibility as well.

16 is a good age IMO, doesn't mean every girl is the same. also, this wasn't sex, all girls should know the birds and the bees way before 15. if she was smart enough to get a tattoo, sneak into a 18+ bar and make it on stage for a competition. she understood what she was getting into.

I still think we're blowing this way out of proportion.

You don't just "grow to be mature" overnight. The age of consent doesn't say anything about what they are really doing, only about the LEGAL ways. First, she shouldn't have been there. Second, if you can have a tattoo on your back like that, I imagine your parents gave permission (here you need permission till you're 18 for a tattoo. I don't think Canada is that different). Third, if you are allowed to have sex at 16, you know your way at 15, too. She showed she knew what to do.

She is no innocent nun, and she never claimed to be. He is no innocent monk, and he never claimed to be either.

The video was rough, sure, but hey, some like it that way, don't they?
