Oh not to be shit stirrer or anything because I don't have a horse in this race, but I'm surprised Canada or any respectable country for that matter would let themselves be bullied like this, there is nothing in the local press here about it so only reading it here.

Whatever the fuck happened to dignity and self worth. Fuck it, eat grass if you have to rather than put up with this shit.

Oh and from the outside yeah everyone pretty much hates the US right about now, and as rightly said if the US in its eternal arrogance and hubris butted heads with the Canadians, thats going to be a huge mistake.

The entire world is just holding in their tongues and sitting on their hands right now, just tolerating orange baby and holding it in and just need an excuse to let it all out. And this would be the perfect excuse.

Militarily I don't think anybody would engage because no one has the long distance reach to be of any effect, but if Canada accepts China and Russia would be more than happy to come to assist, if even under the guise of some UN resolution.

US overnight will become the black sheep of the world and be isolated instantly. I honestly can't seen any country siding with the US in this.

American already has a very poor record of going to war with any country and actually getting anything done on its own, and if they thought Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq was bad, oh boy they have a thing coming.

Americans have dick experience with anything Artic related and just a light Canadian force can make them chew their own nuts out in the Artic tundra and if the Russians are also in play then Americans better stick to the southern bits in their invasion efforts.

All said and done this is my true belief that the American empire has started to crumble it had a good 70 odd years at the top but its time has come.

And Trump is God/nature/Karma or whatever else you believe in way of making this happen. I'm just siting back and enjoying the show and truly hope he also gets reelected for a second term too. Because no enemy of the US can inflict the kind of damage that Trump can.

Canada is slowly coming around. It takes the right leader at the right time to make a nation. This is the right time, but we have the wrong leader. I can't believe I'm going to type this... we need a leader like Stephen Harper right now. I need to take a shower.

You forget that we do our extreme cold training in Alaska where we have a significant military presence. Add to this the fact that our naval presence in Canada's Arctic waters eclipses Canada's and that makes my case for the fact that Canada has abdicated too much of their defense to the USA.
