BRAH BRAH:
Trump isn't the best at getting his message across but that doesn't matter to the Left and main stream media.

Did you just write that out loud?!?

The Donald The Donald:

"You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass."

"I will build a great wall — and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me —and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words."

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best. They're not sending you, they're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. ... And some, I assume, are good people."

“Laziness is a trait in the blacks. ... Black guys counting my money! I hate it.”

“The only kind of people I want counting my money are little short guys that wear yamakas every day.”

"He's not a war hero. He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren't captured, OK, I hate to tell you."

Seems he has no problem saying exactly what he thinks.

In 1914, immigrants from Austria-Hungary, Germany and the other Central Powers were rounded up and locked away in internment camps. More than 8,000 people who considered themselves Canadian were imprisoned for being “enemy aliens.”

Ukrainians have asked for a public apology from the Canadian government.

Appreciated. [BB]

Still a relatively small number, especially compared to some 20,000 Japanese, despite Japanese being a much smaller group. My ancestors are German and none of them or their neighbours were rounded up.

Better explanation:

$1:
During the First World War, enemy aliens (nationals of Germany and of the Austro-Hungarian and Turkish empires) were subject to internment, but only if there were "reasonable grounds" to believe they were engaged in espionage or otherwise acting illegally. Some municipalities "unloaded" indigents, many of them recent immigrants, on internment camps.

That is a racist thing to believe, isn't it? I'm pointing it out as evidence of how the right-wingers on this site seem to think, it's white privileged thinking, which according to some, doesn't exist.

My grand uncle's(married to my maternal grandfather's sister) mother and father were locked away in an interment camp as children with their parents and relatives. They had come over from Franz Josef land. My uncle insisted they were Austrians, not 'godbedammit bohunks', whenever he was called Ukrainian....his brother had a different opinion.

Despite the way his family had been treated, he volunteered in WWII and worked partially as a translator/infantryman as he was fluent in English, German and Ukrainian....but you couldn't call him one.

I don't see what's so radical about putting the safety of Americans ahead of the interests of non-citizens, some of whom are proven to be very deadly to Americans.

Actually, what I described above is only what the Canadians did. I didn't even get into what the Americans did.

Because it's statistically unlikely. You want to keep Americans safe from dying unnecessarily? Ban guns and alcohol. There's like 200,000 lives saved a year.

Banning Muslims isn't only impractical, it's also un-American and unconstitutional.

What's next, place all American males under permanent solitary house arrest, to eliminate rape?

Maybe.
Supreme Court also agreed with Japanese internment, same Constitution. Vote was 6 - 3.

What was racist?
Here in Canada, Germans and Italians (and some others) were interred if they thought they were a threat. ALL Japanese Canadians were interred.
