Which is why the long winded unprovable claims and self congratulatory back slapping gets little positive response. The shallow demand for recognition of the unprovable smells of desperation to have accolades on the internet that he ain't getting in real life.

Jabberwalker Jabberwalker: I was president of the Liberal riding association
.... credibility evaporates with the first clause .... I thought my efforts were stumbling, not so good. And you think what I did sounds too good to be true? You make me blush. The president of the Liberal riding association before me was Dave Love. He was president of both the federal riding and provincial constituency associations. He became my mentor into the Liberal Party. He wanted to be candidate for the 2007 provincial election, so stepped down from both posts. I attended his nomination meeting. He said there wasn't anyone to be president for the provincial constituency so he would have to remain president as well. Jon Gerrard was leader of the Manitoba Liberals at that time, he asked me to be president. I didn't want a position in the provincial constituency, I just wanted to support his nomination so he would support mine. But what do you do when the leader of the party asks? So I became president of both, taking over from Dave. I deferred to Dave, asked him what he wanted to do. But I did my best. I resigned from the provincial constituency presidency in 2010 so I could focus on the federal side. Ok. Just downloaded submitted request for the federal candidate package. Several candidates have already been nominated, but not for my riding. Ok, let's do this.

So, how do you, Winnipegger, prove that you are Robert Dyck?

How do I prove that I am me? I could change my profile name. Add a picture. Or we could chat with Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/rob.dyck.5Provincial Liberal leader Jon Gerrard told me that if I want to be a polician, then I have to get on Facebook. I have a few relatives as friends, but most of my "Facebook friends" are other Liberals who I've never met. Many I did meet, but many more I haven't. For example, when Stephane Dion was seeking the Liberal leadership, I got to sit down and talk with him one-on-one for an hour. I supported him after that. I got to meet Michael Ignatief for 5 minutes in 2006, so didn't support him. But did have a more meaningful conversation in 2011 prior to the election. I described my plan to eliminate income tax; pointed out that the debt repayment schedule could have started in January 2006, so I consider Harper years to be wasted years. He completely rejected all my ideas, but did take that one point of rhetoric. He called "Harper years, wasted years". But he didn't accept the debt repayment schedule. Damn him! Anyway, you'll notice I have a lot of Liberals as Facebook friends. I even have David Johnson as a Facebook friend. Even though he's the individual within the Liberal Party who opposes me. He's the executive director of the Liberal Party of Canada (Manitoba). He is one of those who wants to pull the Liberal Party to the extreme left wing, farther left than the NDP, and who believes only filthy-stinking-rich should be involved in our party. He is a "Facebook friend", but he's my opponent.

raydan raydan: Gunnair Gunnair: So, how do you, Winnipegger, prove that you are Robert Dyck? If my name was Dyck, I wouldn't go around trying to prove it. Only with girls? Or I should say, young women? I'm Mennonite on my father's side. My grandparents attended Mennonite church, had a farm in Saskatchewan, and spoke Plattdüütsch (Low German). My grandfather spoke with an accent, and my grandmother never spoke English at all. Both grandparents wore traditional Mennonite clothing. Their farm was in Saskatchewan, although I was born in Winnipeg. My name is "Dyck" but pronounced "Dick". Yes my name really is "Mr. Dyck", and the ladies are happy. Well, the few ladies I've been with. My mother is part English, part Scottish, part Irish, and part Welsh. Let's just call that British. My mother's madden name is "McIntyre". The Scots are considered cheap, but McIntyre's are the cheapest of the Scots. Did you year the joke of how copper wire was invented? It was a Mennonite and a Scot fighting over a penny. I can say that because I'm part Mennonite and part Scot. Some women point out that I give a better massage than a professional masseur. Those women that let me run my hands all over their body. Still single. Any women want to change that?

A friend gave me a small piece of art. He said it reminded him of me. I scanned it, and posted on my Facebook page. A red dragon, slipping on a banana peel and falling on his face. And I'm proud of my nieces. My sister's daughter graduated high school with International Baccalaureate. My brother's daughter with Advanced Placement. My sister's daughter deleted her Facebook account; here is my brother's daughter today. This is me in 2001 and 2002.
