Unsound Unsound:
Ha! As if my kids get anything besides a roof over their heads, a PBJ sandwich now and then, and the occaisional drunken "I love you".

The pregnancies are definitely a reason to drink. C'mon man, automatic designated driver! You gotta take advantage while you can.

That might work if the wife had a driver's license...

Well, I don't buy much booze. But the private stores I've seen are small little adjuncts to pubs. They don't have much selection. Can't speak to their hours, probably better than the govt. But no, the govt stores I've been in are much larger with much more variety. Maybe our govt stores are just too well run for the privates to compete on variety (takes a lot larger store) so they just do it on hours and convenience. That's why I've gone to them before - they were closer. But if I want to bring a nice bottle of wine as a guest, I'd never go to a private store.

I don't buy much booze either, which why the issue for me is largely meh.

I'm not a teetotaler, but with a pair of pregnancies in the last four years, there hasn't been much time to drink...although some have suggested I should be drinking more not less!

I bought three bottle of chardonnay, a 12 of Kilkenny and 5 Old Rosie ciders....there`s only 4 ales, 1 cider and 1 bottle of wine left.....I bought this last summer, and we`ve had guests over half a dozen times.

Sounds like my place...I got a bottle of tequila (in Mexico) for margaritas in 2011, then the wife got pregnant and neither one of us had any, so it's just sat in our liquor cabinet. We've had half a dozen bottles of wine bought for us for presents - the only one who drank any of it was my father-in-law, we used the rest for cooking, though in fairness, I'm not much of a wine drinker anytime.

The good news is that the wife finally stopped nursing after Christmas, so I'm hoping we can enjoy some margaritas this summer.

interesting....my wife`s doctor(she was an older lady from Austria) told her to enjoy a stout once in awhile before nursing. She claimed it relaxed the mother and helped with milk production. I became quite aware how what the mother eats, transfers to a nursing baby, after she had some blue cheese and smoked oysters at my parents.....I choked changing our son`s diaper. I hate the stuff and it took two good baby dumps to get rid of the stench of blue cheese

My wife was told the same. A glass of porter every day while nursing.
