Zipperfish Zipperfish:
yeah, well my days of recording music are probably over. Too busy with the kids right now to dedicate myself to anything too serious musically. I'm still tickling the ivories for a local blues band, but that's about it.

However, getting into making DeadMau5 types of tunes using Garage Band on the Mac and some of my synths, with my son (who's 10). I quite like Deadmau5 actually, so it's kind of fun. I'd really like to recreate "Sail" by AWOL Nation--love that bass synth and the guy has the same kind of singing voice as me. Probably have to upgrade to Cakewalk or something at some point--which I will buy, not pirate. ha ha ha

Cakewalk ! Thats ancient, you cant even buy it nowadays. Only band that still uses it is the French Canadian band Chromeo running off an old Pentium III. If you want to do EDM the likes of DeadMau5, Swedish Mafia etc etc nothing better than FL Studios. Costs only 99USD with a lifetime of free upgrades, can't beat that !

Here something I produced mixed and mastered all with in FL Studios ( Its more EuroTechno but you get the drift )

Awesome! Love it.

Thanks for the tip, DD. I like the price too!

That's not music though. That's just goofy nonsense emanating from a video game.

I find getting older and more intolerant of things I find to be stupid absolutely fascinating. I'm a grumpy old man!

That autotuned shit still isn't proper music though, and it never will be.

I suggest watching Happy Plane then.

$1:
Happy Plane drops kitten bombs on a grateful city. Thank you Panda Pilot.

It's also available on ten-hour time loop, but you may want to drop some acid first.

Lots of good music still out there. Just not going to find it anywhere within a hundred miles of Simon Cowell.

Rock n roll seems kind of dead right now. It'll come back like it always does but right now it's taking a bad beating from the dubstep idiots and the pop sluts. Kind of all around depressing IMO.

What are you listening to? If you're wtaching X Factor, or listening to radio, then sure. But even when I was a teen back in the mid-15th century you didn't get cool music on the radio.

There's always cool people doing cool stuff--just got to find it.

Right now I'm quite into Elbow and Stone Sour.

Actually if anyone can tyurn me on to some electronica house tor dubstep that is edgier--like Tool or Floyd is to rock n roll--I'd appreciate it!

Don't listen to radio if I can avoid it. My exposure to new stuff got severed altogether when MuchMusic turned into complete garbage and replaced the music videos with shit like Jersey Shore. My MP3 player is dominated with 60's thru 90's vintage but, except maybe for Rammstein, precious little from the 00's and up.

Were your cave songs double entendres?
