Well, it's a discriminatory thing. Not too long, women were not allowed to vote, just because they were women. Or had to quit their jobs just because they got married.
Blacks had to ride the back of the bus, just because they were black. Blacks could not vote, just because they were black.

Sometimes, women are too good at a certain sport to be able to compete in the women's league, and the men's league will give them more opportunity. No man would want to be "degraded" to a women's team, but if women were better at it, I am sure they would want the opportunity to be promoted too.

Sounds like the normal sound bytes coming from the femtroopers looking to establish the separate but equal paradigm for girls and abolish it for boys.

Couldn't disagree with it more.

Freakinoldguy Freakinoldguy:

I'm okay with women only clubs, men only clubs, homosexual only clubs, lesbian only clubs, transgendered only clubs and for the denuded males, metrosexual only clubs.

The only thing I have a problem with is when a certain segment of society wants their cake and eat it to and our poltically correct society is so fouled up it goes along with them.

"Metrosexual only" club! ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

ok, so we basically agree :P

I'm not abolishing anything for boys. If there is no market tho, then there is no market. If no boy wants to play in a girl's team, they won't. Doesn't mean they can't. Imho, that is.

Out of curiosity, if Johnny Bloggins applied to join a girls hockey team, do you think the femtroopers wouldn't put up a stick demanding the sanctity of a girls only team as comparable as the one of them decrying the sanctity of the boys only team?

That's bullshit in them thar hills.

I don't know what them "femtroopers" would do. I would not object, and depending on the age, the only thing I would want is a different dressing room.

And when Jane Bloggins applied to join a boys hockey team because the girls don't give her any competition, I would not object to that either.

They have to be at the same level tho and stick to the rules. If the boys rules are rougher than the girls', too bad for the girl, don't whine. If the boy in the girls team is playing too rough, he has a problem.

Maybe Jane needs to advocate for better competition within her own league instead of hightailing it out to play with the boys.

If Johnny Bloggins joins the 'Chick League' because he sucks too much to play on the boys team, then I guess it's okay to apply to the less competitive said 'Chick' League'.

Now you are saying that outstanding women who would be capable of playing in the men's NHL have to stick with the not so well paying (or more, not at all paying) women's league. How is that fair? I'm sure there are not many of them, as I assume there are not many boys who want to play with in the girls team.

The question is tho, if a woman is that good, would she be able to make a shitload of money in the NHL?

No, I'm not saying that at all, and you're one post away from another ESL class next week.

I'm saying that instead of fleeing a women's league for a greener pasture, women should take some responsibility for their sport and make it better. After all, when a women asks to play in the NHL, it's as much an admission that her league can't cut it, as it is saying she's better than all the other girls there.

I note you did not respond to my point about about Johnny Bloggins and the Chick League. Him playing there is alright? No issues there?

I already said a million times that all I would want, is separate changing rooms. Other than that, I am fine.

The pro players in the women's league do not get paid. Why? They get paid to train (is what I read, $1000-2000/mo). That's hardly what men get paid. See? Women are underpaid

Seriously tho, it is the NHL. NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE. Right? Not MHL. MEN'S HOCKEY LEAGUE. I'm just sayin.
