N_Fiddledog N_Fiddledog:
See that red circle on the ground in the pic below? That's a Canadian girl (embedded top right thumbnail) getting stomped into the ground by pro-Palestinian protesters. See that woman in the white to the side? I think that's her mother. If it is, she had just gotten out of the hospital. She tried to help her daughter. She got a crap-kicking too.

The story was going to get quietly pushed out of public view where such stories generally go, but unfortunately for the coming Islamic wave and their Progressive apologists in the Canadian media Ezra Levant has a big mouth. He's made it acceptable to speak about the beat-down of Canadians on the streets of Calgary.

Below the pic there's a link to a story from what seems to be a Syrian Canadian who's not happy about all this. It's worth a read.

Sounds like the prudent thing to do. Passenger and flight crew lives are of paramount importance.

Sounds more like Israel is being quietly sanctioned by the West for defending itself.

If missiles are landing less than 2 KM away from the airport I think fight safety is a real concern.

I'm surprised though that Hamas has been able to get that close.

This is definitely a good idea, I have also heard that several artists, cirque du soleil, Anka, Backstreet boys and Neil Diamond have cancelled shows there as well which really makes sense considering the danger of having so many people together. There should definitely be travel bans in effect.

If it's bad enough that we can't send in airliners then it's bad enough that the IDF should go in and neutralize these jerks in Gaza.

Hamas isn't interested in talk. They've issued their list of demands and they've made clear they won't bend from that list of demands.

Like I said, it's like asking the KKK to sit down and chat with the NAACP.

Yeah they are already there, haven't you read about it ? They are slaughtering innocent men women and children by the hundreds; Bombing hospitals, firing on crowds, the whole nice yards, I'm kind of surprised you haven't heard.

Then tragically the Palestinains will continue to pay for Hamas's ego because they don't want peace.

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/24/world ... ?ref=world

JERUSALEM — Israel faced new political and economic pressures on Wednesday to negotiate a halt to the 16-day-old Gaza war, with its rising toll of death and destruction, as cease-fire talks ground forward and the Israeli tourism industry was upended as major foreign airlines extended their suspension of flights over fears of Palestinian rocket fire.

Israeli officials have talked increasingly in recent days about what they call the need for a demilitarization of Gaza, particularly the destruction of its tunnel network, perhaps under international auspices, as part of any agreement to halt the hostilities. “We cannot go to a cease-fire without resolving the tunnels,” Yitzhak Aharonvich, the public security minister, said on Army Radio. “We can have a cease-fire while dealing with the tunnels, but we cannot accept a situation where the tunnels are used by the terrorists as an entrance into Israel.”
