herbie herbie:
Tried to smoke a doob last summer and coughed my lungs out. I'd make brownies, but I guess I'm just not all that interested as I haven't done that for 25 years.
Tried to quit cigs a couple weeks ago and ended up, while wearing TWO 21mg patches, having such a shit-fit because the phones ring incessantly in the office that I smashed all the telephones in my office in a rage
So do tell me all the reasons NOT to decriminalize marijuana so I can laugh in your face.

(Started Champix yesterday. I AM going to quit these goddam things)

Good luck, I'm at almost 6 weeks smoke-free, thanks to Champix. Just remember, that first day without smoking is the hardest. Once you've gone 24 hours, you kinda start to feel like a non-smoker and like you have too much to lose by starting up again.

When an invention to have the intoxicated have a bright fluorescent glow hovering over their heads/cars then marijuana use can be legalized so that those not wanting to be near the intoxicated ones have at least a chance to stay away.

even your question has assumptions. perhaps we havent gotten the alcohol thing right, and we shouldnt add to our screw ups until we figure a few more things out?

Alcohol is pretty easy to test for, and generally if it's in your system it's affecting you, weed however stays in your system for a loong time, and there is no way yet to test for actual impairment, just the presence. That seems to be one of the major objections from law enforcement. If they pull you over and test you they have no way of knowing if you smoked up an hour ago, or 2 weeks ago.

That's great! Did you have to cut out booze and coffee? I did.

Within a few months, I was feeling a hell of a lot better. Not near as much congestion and such.

Lmao, that woulda been smart. As it was I had my last ciggy on a saturday morning and went to a party that night. It was tough, but by the time we got there I was feeling self-righteous enough to stay strong. And my wife was good enough to say no when I begged her for "just one little drag".

It took only a couple days for me to notice a difference with my breathing. I've had a slight wheeze forever. Nothing anyone but a doctor would notice, but i knew it was there. Gone after about a week. Hoping that I'll see a difference when I start jogging again too.

Good luck, estimated figure is 1/3 of all drivers at any given time are intoxicated weather it's booze or drugs. This argument is flat and baseless as for every drunk driver they catch a multitude they aren't even aware of.
