Regina Regina:
I have a solution. If you want to point a laser at anyone for any reason, you must first point it at both of your unshielded eyes for 5 seconds. Then your free to try it on anyone else.

ha there we go, pass it as law

So again goes back to my idea of somehow making the windshield better, be it coding, materials etc

I kind of prefer my idea of flogging jerkwits who shine lasers at airplanes.

also a good option :D

From experience I can tell you that "slapping" some sort of coating on a Lexan windscreen would be unacceptable. It changes the properties and can weaken it, to which the aviation industry frowns upon.

oh totally agree, my whole stance here is that i don't personally think a laser pointed at a chopper 3 k away will cause so much issue that a presumably trained pilot would fall from the sky. thats all.

64,500 returns on Google for pilot blinded by laser :!:

what a joke, hopefully the sun never hits these guys in the face while there flying or god forbid the hole chopper will come down.

I can understand your point of view and tend to agree with it, but even if the lazer was harmless to the pilot, I still support a general law that makes it illegal to interfere with the operation of an aircraft.
