Their is your "Religion of Peace"

Look up Inquisition or Crusade and let me know which organization was the motivating force behind either.

Hate to break it to you sunshine, but almost every major religion on earth has been used at one time or another to justify violence against others.

Religion, on the surface should be a good thing, but it is far too often twisted by its followers to justify acts of evil.

Crusades and Inquisition? Events that happened between 1100 and 1500(for the most part. Last time I looked at the calendar it was 2010. Why do some think things that happened centuries ago justify barbaric behaviour in other groups today? We use to burn witches in the 17th century.

Does that mean we should accept and allow other groups to do it today? Based on the logic presented in the quoted post, it would seem so.

R=UP PDT_Armataz_01_37 Exactly, We in the west have evolved from the inquisition days. Islam now is stuck in their version of the Dark Ages. Like us they need an Italian Renaissance and a European Enlightenment to turn into a more humanistic and modern way of life. We shouldn't allow them to use what we did in the 100-1500s at the very least until they evolve away from their violence and hate which doesn't appear to be anytime soon.

Sure, rc's call themselves the largest "Christian demonination. Bin laden calls himself a nice guy - big deal, they are not christian and it goes way beyond a few doctrinal differences. Mormons, sdas, jw's call themselves christian, they all deny the diety of Jesus Christ and the rcs have practiced blatant heresy for the better part of 2000 years. Rc's are also specifically refered to in Revelation as the great whore church - the church (vatican rome) built on 7 hills- drunk on the blood of the saints (those actual Christians who they murdered during the crusade, and im not talking muslims murdered as is historically populuar).

I should have said the RC church rather than lump in all catholics. I have no ill will towards catholics. My bone to pick is the popular depictions by the cesspool called hellywood and the secular culture that all Christians are Catholics. The Catholic faith indulges in heresy with their idol worship to Mary, the re-crucifiction of Christ in the mass, confession to priests, the pope claiming himself to be vicariously Christ on earth, their infatuation with lying signs and wonders, real miracles are essentially passe, at least for this age. So please ppl, dont think Christian when you see the pope, he is of this world.

Did you guys see the video for this one? It's hilarious.

Interesting. If you speak out against Christanity you hear
no threats of violence or death sentences ordered.
Even the media speaks of Christian radicals. Or maybe Southern Baptist radicals.

Speak out against muslims and hate surfaces. You are shouted down. Violence and death are perscribed to nay sayers.
What is the difference here????

Speaking out against the Christian belief makes us stronger.

Question why do the islamics fear critics????
Will looking closely reveal truths they wish to hide????

I'm not justifying it at all.

All I said was that "almost every major religion on earth has been used at one time or another to justify violence against others". Ergo, the inherent problem is all religion, not just Christianity or Islam or Shinto or whatever.

However, if you want a current example, all you have to do is take a gander at the fringe group of fundamentalist Christians who think it's a-okay to kill abortion doctors.

$1:
Abortion doc’s killer gets life sentence
April 1, 2010

Scott Roeder, 52, faced a mandatory life prison term for gunning down Dr. George Tiller in the back of Tiller's Wichita church last May. Tiller was one of the few U.S. doctors who performed late-term abortions.

The Mutaween
Are religious police who enforce the Islamic code of law known as Sharia in Saudi Arabia. Other religious police forces are also sometimes referred to as Mutaween, especially in Muslim countries. The actions of this organization are sometimes viewed as extremely controversial, as the Mutaween have far-reaching authorities over citizens and visitors in Saudi Arabia, a country with very traditional and conservative religious values.

This law enforcement agency is part of a larger government organization called the Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice. Members of the Mutaween patrol the streets of Saudi Arabia, often with an official police escort, looking for violations of Islamic law. They have the authority to arrest people for violations, and they can order floggings, imprisonment, and public humiliation as punishments.

Among other things, the Mutaween look for women who are not dressed in accordance with the Sharia, people of the opposite sex fraternizing, signs of homosexual behavior, violations of Muslim dietary laws, and other signs of “un-Islamic behavior” such as listening to rock music. These Saudi Arabian police can confiscate materials which they think are inappropriate, ranging from Western movies to alcohol, and many people understandably fear the sharp eyes of the Mutaween.

The early version I posted of the attack was edited. To get the full effect, you have to see the whole thing from where Lars first gets attacked to the aftermath where the non-muslims start backing down, and the jihad-friendlies go nuts. Really, it's intense.

They kept ranting about paying taxes, and saying it was their country too......umm, no it's not. Paying taxes, doesn't make you a citizen with equal rights, plus they've demonstrated by their actions that they don't get being Swedish(or any other western nationality). It's always, 'placate us' rather than 'we'll try to fit into the culture that allowed us to live in freedom, for them

Home of Swedish Muhammad cartoonist attacked

STOCKHOLM -- The home of a Swedish artist who once drew a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad as a dog has been hit by a suspected arson attack, police said Saturday.

Lars Vilks, who lives in Nyhamnslage in southern Sweden, was not at home during the attack late Friday night and no one was reported injured.

Perhaps they are right and Muhammad wasn't a homosexual he was a definite Pedophile marrying a 10 year old girl, then again perhaps he was a closet gay and the marriage to the girl was a smoke screen. He and Khomeni might make a cute couple. In the Islamic world inferring to mohammed was a CS, whether correct or not, might not be the wisest thing to do. I think it's wrong because it insults gay people.

I hope we never get a display like that on this side of the Atlantic.
If the Moslems don't want to see this stuff leave the auditorium on their way to leaving the country.

Now to be fair he married a 6 year old, but he consummated the marriage when she was 9.

That was big of him to wait three years. I didn't know that child rapists could be that patient.
