DerbyX DerbyX:
Well I guess a lot of people here should be posting their apologies.

http://willyloman.wordpress.com/2010/04 ... west-bank/

Apologizing for what? What does this blog prove?

BartSimpson BartSimpson:
I'm seriously considering posting a website dedicated to caricatures of mohammed.

Oh, and it will most definitely NOT be censored.

I'd log onto that

JihadJane was Christian before converting to Islam. That's what radical muslims say: convert or die.

Not that much more crazy then "convert or you'll die and spend enternity in hell."

Sunday school was always such a positive influence on my life.

It's strange what some people get from religion is vastly different than what others get. Sure my church taught that you would spend eternity in hell if you weren't saved. However I mostly remember the good things churches did, like charity work, community social events, and a sense of family.

My church (well, when I was young and had pastoral classes) told me to love and to share with people. Not to destroy and terrorize them.

As did mine. I'll admit that as soon as I hit the age that my mother didn't want to drag me I stopped going. Except for the odd youth group meeting.

Wasn't really the same for me. My family was non-religious, but due to social pressures of living in a deeply religious town, I was forced to attend. I personally, even from the ages of 10-12, found the ideas as presented in the bible downright ludicrous.

For this I was constantly singled out, told I was going down the wrong path, should start to believe in God or I'd go to hell, etc. etc. etc. Then some idiot went out and said I sold my soul to satan, was possessed, or some stupid shit like that. From there I went from people who were "simpathetic" to my plight to downright fear or hatred. They stopped trying to get me to believe in God and Christianity and instead began to pick on and harrass me for being a Satan worshipper. Pretty well turned me sour to the idea of all organised religion.

For those that enjoy going to church and church events, awesome for them. Hope they continue to find happyness in what they do. But it isn't for me.

Doesn't sound like you were around very good people. Certainly not people who actually practiced what they preached. I also grew up in a highly religious town and attended church on and off, but I felt no pressure either way except from my mother.

Still rienforces my opinion that all organised religion can breed bad people. Doesn't mean it will, but it has the capacity too. Just depends who's at the helm I guess.

Just watched it and they aired the edited version. I bet that was the copy Comedy Central gave them.
