Bodah Bodah: MGX MGX: I did not bring the muslim factor in this thread. go back to page one and read some of the comments about muslims. I made some observations about other peoples posts concerning the religious bashing on page 1. The issue here isn't wether or not omar's parents are unfit or not, it is your accusations and faulty reasoning. You accuse people of saying something without providing any evidence at all. You just accused me of of bring up the subject of muslims when it was already apparent people were making hasty generalizations in page 1 which is why I made that post in the first place. You're making mountains out of molehills. Well why dont you post what you found objectionable from page one then, and we'll take it from there. "But the jihadis are allowed to keep their kids, and make them into little Omars..." "So does this mean we can take children away from Muslims?" I rolled my eyes at these two comments. Why specifically target Muslims as a scapegoat in this thread? It's obvious there some underlying bigotry towards a certain ethnic group. If they didn't why would they make such comments?. Regardless of any religion, bad parenting is bad parenting.

Alexandre Alexandre: PimpBrewski123 PimpBrewski123: Sure, it's all about political correctness.
For some, it seems ok to support terrorists. The only difference is that, at least, those parents have NOT killed anyone in the process. Punishing nazis parents is political correctness now ? I dont know, the term "political corectness" seems to have become a vacuum term these days, used to qualify pretty much everything some people disagree with. And our troops who fought Nazis, they fought for political correctness i guess ? Oh hold on, Do not misinterpret. 1st of all, as I have mentioned before on some other thread, long ago. These folks associate the ''movement'' more like white pride more than the German war. They would not hurt a fly. Not defending these parents, only talking about political correctness, meaning ethnics are often allowed some things that whites are considered racists, for the same exact thing. Like some others have mentioned here, some things seem acceptable while others are not.

$1: They're a simple people, but it's still fun sometimes. Coming from a guy who continuously misquoted people, and posted a picture TVA dam and tried passing it off as floodgates in Winnipeg, this pretty rich. Obviously you do sample your own produce.

Now you're being ridiculous again.. You guys were spewing talking points again about EI reform, and I was sick of hearing 'floodgates'. I found a picture of some floodgates. Never once said they were floodgates in winnipeg, only that we had them here. That's why you, and the others pounce on me every time I post? Misquoting isn't the problem either, it's been done to me far more times than I have done it, and I believe I have corrected myself whenever it was pointed out to me. So all I'm saying is that if you don't like me, don't talk to me. But shut up unless you have something you would like to discuss with me. I cannot believe you are still thinking about the floodgates thing. We were talking about temporary E.I. reform, and that is all you got out of it. Bizarre.

Trolling has many definitions. I'm trying to put an end to the petty bickering that happens every time I try to have a discussion here. That is not trolling.

Take a break.. This comment was well posted...ah the irony. Please explain it. People who believe in reform of marijuana laws to reduce their harmful effects on society are ironic in nature, or just because you don't agree?

I didn't refer to you specifically as a troll, but i do question your assertion that people here are a "simple" lot. Considering the source, i find it rather ironic and presumptuous.

You can find plenty of examples right here in this thread. There is one where Bodah jumped in shouting about how I love Omar Khadr's family. There is ShepherdsDog who has decided that lately every topic he should try to discredit me by associating me with marijuana. There is yourself who is offering nothing to the discussion except to give a 'me too' response to both of these two. It's nearly impossible to actually discuss the issue we were discussing, which is an inherent bigotry toward muslims that exists here.

You disagreed with their comments and/or tactics and that warrants a blanket generalization of they're "simple"?!? Wow...the epitome of discourse there. And I only commented the irony that YOU of all people here should be careful who you refer to as "simple" and watch your generalizations. Don't like it? Practice what you preach and ignore me, but if you feel the need to insult CKA, spit out base comments and hypocritically hide behind discourse, then i'll call you on it.

No they're simple because we aren't even talking about anything current. Everyone has a problem with something that was said 6 months to a year ago, that they aren't even remembering correctly. I'm no fan of Omar Khadr, and I don't advocate smoking marijuana. Somehow I get into a discussion in every thread where I have to state these things over and over and over again. The entire discussion gets lost in these tactics. Nobody has called me a partisan hack yet today, but I'm sure it's coming. This is what people turn to when they don't have an actual argument in the debate. Distraction by assassination of character. It's simple, it's childish.. I'm just calling it what it is.

So, you're solution to this alleged crime is to hypocritically name-call, issue generalizations and insult people? This is why your pontificating falls on deaf ears.

I believe that usual suspects here, do these things as a knee-jerk reaction. No thought goes into it. If I can help them realize what they are doing, this will have been a very very useful discussion.
