Eh, I wasn't asking to be political, I was genuinely curious. I knew of the FLQ Crisis, and Oka as well (after being reminded) but I wasn't sure if there were other cases...

Rick mercer does this all the time on his show, whats the big deal. The tories have been doing shit like this for years, and stuff that was made officialy. This stuff wasn't made by the LPC, but by regular people. Its not like its used in a national ad campaing like the tories have done with some also questionable material.

The Liberals should have showed some balls, and clearly stated that just like any other website that involves user posted content, the opinion of the user does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the website.

Moderating and removing the material with a short apology should be enough.

Nevertheless, there is a political aspect to this that the Liberals need to learn....the message is often not as important as the reaction to the message. ie allowing messages that cause many Canadians to get upset is bad politics.
