Africa ain't all doom and gloom. My company is investing heavily in the western region, big boom, apparently west African construction industry is the hottest in the world (now that the world economy has tanked). Somalia ain't it though.

I feel for the guy though, sometimes it isn't always "the parents". Sometimes kids just get involved in stuff and their parents can't stop it. Sometimes culture simply outweighs anything the family can tell a child/young adult.
