North Korea made an underground test of less than 1 Kt and it was detected worldwide.
You are saying that the USA made a Mt explosion, over an island, that was not detected.

I still don't know when the island was last seen, by eyes... All is stated is that it was mapped as far back as 1669, but who has actually seen it? "They" couldn't find it in 1997...

RUEZ RUEZ: OPP OPP: Proculation Proculation: Undetected modern nuclear explosion, yes. We don't know that yet. And of all the nuclear tests made over the years, you're claiming all of them we're so evident that it's not possible that they could have been done in secret? So you actually believe that an explosion large enough to obliterate an island wouldn't be detected? I'm saying, judging by the information we have, it can not be ruled out that the U.S does not have the capabilities to accomplish this without being caught "red handed".

AS proc already said North Korea was detected all over the world. I'm pretty sure even the USA can't blow up islands without anyone finding out.

Let's just all agree it's a big mystery and nobody knows what happened YET and leave it at that. Don't make me pull this car over misters.

I provided a picture of it in the thread and so far no one has denied it's existance as of 12+ years ago. The first accunts of it missing is from -97 but I do not know the exact date of when it was last seen, no. But do you really think that this would have gone unnoticed from 1669 til 1997? Treaties have been made based upon the existance of this Island, I think some one would have noticed that it wasn't there.

Ever think that possibly an earthquake sank the little island. That is how islands have come about and sank.

You are saying that the USA made a Mt explosion, over an island, that was not detected. Sweden sent special equipment, specificaly developed to detect nuclear weapons testing, to South Korea after suspicions of underground nuclear testing in N. Korea. N. Korea we're not secretive about it at all, however. They even claimed that their testing was a success when it was clear that it was not. They had been accused for a long time by the U.S, Japan and S Korea to have a secret nuclear weapons program and were under rigorous and extensive watch.

Well I found another odd article saying that it was last seen in that time here... http://www.granma.cu/ingles/2008/diciem ... rious.htmlAnd I am a bit of an Earthquake geek and knew that the last big quake in that region was in 2006, a 6.0, there hadnt been one that size in that area since the mid-to late 70's. Edit: I could probably track down the 70's quake, but I really want to eat and go to hockey

What I meant is that every nuclear explosion can be easily detected.
