Tricks Tricks:
And do homosexual people in the military do that?

Dunno, if they admit that they are gone.

I guess if you're going to invade a country by float these are your "guys"

So if they admit they would rather sleep with a guy than a girl but otherwise are the exact same as every other soldier they are kicked out.

Why?

Let's make this simple, statistically they are not many gays in the world. Let alone a country. It's a step forward for gay rights but they are also forgetting the opinions of the soldiers.

Most men find being around a gay un-comfortable. Expecially in the military. Most people try to be politically correct but it's undeniable that there are a lot of homophobes.

Do gay's even want to apply to join the military? If there are a lot of gays banging on the military door wanting to apply than by all means allow them to en-list but if this is just some bullshit public relations thing than is it really worth upsetting the comfort of the soldiers?

It's fucking retarded. I respect the military on most things. Not this. This is completely ridiculous.

thats wonderful, If a person wishes to serve in defence of his/her nation then they should be allowed. This is a free society, ANYone should have the right to serve their nation. I've worked with gays in past, and NEVER have I had a problem. Perhaps some members who are intimidated by gays wanting to serve should swallow their pride and accept that gays want to serve.

Again, I don't think they care what you think. You lefties don't understand you can't force by law somebody to change their thinking.

and you righties should know you can't just discriminate against everyone who does not share your narrow minded and draconian view of the world.

but why in a alleged free society should sexual preference even matter, I always thought all were supposed to be equal, so should that not extend to the LGBT community? I doubt there will be lines of gays lining up at the recruiting offices to join up, but I think they should have the option should they choose.

"Yes sir!"
"No sir!"
"How high sir?"

All you need to know. I couldn't give a f*** what some Soldiers opinions are on Gays. It's not their place or concern. Same for Race, Class, or other difference.

hwacker hwacker:
Maybe it's time you understand LAWS will not change peoples feelings, actually it will make it worst.

But you already knew this because you know all.

Of course you liked it, but this will be sorted out by the "men"

She obviously knows more than you, but I doubt you realise this because she is a woman, and women hardly know what its like in this man's army eh?

This has been a long time coming, and should have been enacted ten years ago. To say that you dont want to certain group because of X is discrimination. Laws DO change people's feelings on something, it wont happen over night, but that shouldn’t stop you. If people like hwacker had their way back in the 1800's the emancipation proclamation would not have been drafted up because the southerners didnt 'feel' blacks were their equal. It is the same with homosexuality now.

What the states should do is take a cue from Canada, instead of kicking the homosexuals out of the military KICK THE FUCKING BIGGOTS OUT! If you dont like a person in your company or section because they are gay, and make it known to everyone you should get a dishonourable discharge. Then in two years the US military should take another cue from Canada and allow gay couples to marry in a military church.

I know very few gay people in the military, but the ones I do know are wonderful people and good soldiers. No better or worse then any straight soldier, that is more then I can say about the bigoted soldiers I know.

Great post sapper

I know a few gays, and if you asked me to write up a list of who I thought they were, I garauntee that gay would not be in the top ten. People are so much more than their lifestyle, they are a good mechanic, a good friend, intelligent, in excellent physical shape, a great shot, why should we limit our thinking to what someone does when they are no around us?
