RUEZ RUEZ: Zipperfish Zipperfish: Again, with the shirking of responsibility. You've had two years in power to "put bad guys in jail." You're asking for another Conservative mandate, but for what--so in two more years you can ask if you can start putting bad guys in jail now? If you're in power you don't criticize, you do, you don't ask, you do.
At what point do you decide to be big boys and step up to the plate and take some responsibility? What timetable do you think is appropriate? Like say for instance if a gun registry doesn't work after 12 years. Then take it apart, for Chris'sake. Just puh-leeeeeze, stop whining that it's all the fault of the Liberals--who you readily admit are completely ineffective, demoralized and scattered. Not to mention they've been out of power for two years and relatively ineffective in their recent stint in opposition. What you are saying is that you are falling victim to an ineffective and disorganized party--and that doesn't make you look good.

What's with you lefties?

ridenrain ridenrain: Which part of the disfuctional Liberal dominated senate and un-elected Liberal judges didn't you get? So if you're saying that the Conservatives can't do anything because the a Liberal dominated senate and judiciary (keeping in mind that this comes from a guy who insists that CKA is left-leaning despite the poll resutls indicating a strong Conservtaive majority here), then what incentive is there to vote Conservative? To listen to the Conservatives whine that they can't can't get anything done? Doesn't sound like a convincing reason to me.

$1: Who's whining? I asked you a simple question. What's with you lefties? Which I answered. As to your second question "What's wiht you lefties?" Well, you'll have to be more specific. You're talking about 50% of the population, after all. As to who's whining--listen to you guys--"Oh the Liberals, oh the Liberals--oh the Liberals--it's all teh Liberals fault." The Liberals have been pretty much completely out of the picture for years. Quit harping on the pass (no pun intended) and start acting like a party in power!

Well, I think that was a prtety good ass-whomping right there. Ruez and Ridenrain in one go--with one hand tied behind my back no less.
I wish I could say it was a challenge but it was a slaughter. The ref should have stopped it a long time ago.
You may post your concession speeches now.

I don't know what you thought you won because it looks like you agree with us, that the registry is useless and should be scrapped. Martin's desperate bid to outlaw guns was just as useless as the ones from the Liberals and NDP.
It's good that you can see through party politics and agree with common sense issues.

I can imagine that the humiliation of such a public drubbing must smart, but look on the bright side. The sight of Ridenrain and Ruez flailing madly about while I methodically lopped off your limbs, all the while you claiming that it was but a flseh wound provided endless entertainment for our guests. You and Ruez are truly clowns and I mean that in the nicest possible way, Bozo.

Whatever.. Do you dislike the gun registry and do you want it gone? That sounds like a yes to me.
Welcome to our side.
Did you notice that while you were playing Don Quixote that you lost Panza allong the way there? Ref isn't agreeing with you anymore.

OK--the issue was endless Conservative whining about the feckless Liberals who've been disorgainzed and out of power for years, not the gun registry. You see, that's what happens when you're punch drunk--you lose focus. Focus, ridenrain, focus. Second of all, I'm no fan of the gun registry. I think you'll find that peoples' opinions on these boards are sometimes more nuanced than your one-dimensional left/right dichotmy will allow. You can now return to spitting out your teeth like broken chiclets and wondering what hit you.

So why haven't you gotten rid of the registry, Riden? You've been in power for 2-1/2 years. Don't blame the Senate either...you've never sent a bill revoking the registry before them.

My original guess was because they didn't want to lose votes when they cut the jobs but it's only 200 people in the small community: $1: Miramichi Mayor John McKay said Friday more than 200 people work at the firearms registry, and losing those jobs would be devastating for the small city of about 18,000 people. "We all know that the cost of the gun registry went crazy, but the money wasn't spent in Miramichi," McKay said in an interview.
"I have no doubt it disappeared in that great bureaucratic sinkhole in Ottawa. But it's not fair to make us the casualties of those mistakes." that said... $1: In the past half-century, Miramichi has voted Liberal in all but one election. The current incumbent, Liberal Charles Isaac Hubbard, came to power in 1993. FIRE THEM ALL.

ridenrain ridenrain: FIRE THEM ALL. I'd be with you if I thought for one moment that it would end this incessant whining about liberals. But at ome point, you Conaservatives going to have stop complaining about the Liberals, grab the reign of power and actually do something. But no, I'm sure you'd still find a liberal somehow, somewhere, to blame the Conservative's shortcomings on.
