BartSimpson BartSimpson: Streaker Streaker: Certainly that comment wasn't going to go over too well in the US, but, regardless of his popularity, he is quite correct in recognising Canada's superiority. We're dumber than Canada? I don't know about that. You folks are the one who have Stephane Dion.

$1: "My country is dumber than your is," Maher quipped before the Canadian press. "Only in America will you find politicians in a presidential campaign trying to out-love Jesus." I don't particularly think this is a very liberal view. Actually most of Maher's shows would be condemnned by pretty much every Human Rights Commission both Provincially and federally if they were made here about any other identifiable group. there is also the impression given when you compare intelligence in this way that Canada's is low, that America being lower is REALLY bad. Backhanded compliments are not to be lauded. $1: "A world without religion is clearly a lot safer than a world with it," says Charles. Yes enlightened vieews from the elite. We know how well the Chinese, Soviets and Nazis did. Three biggest killing machines in the history of the world. The man is contemptible. There is a reason he has Ann Coulter on a lot, they are flip sides of the same warped coin.

It is a specious argument. As long as people have rights, they will have differing views, religions and politics.
When you eliminate race and religion you will find something else, like the Hutu and Tutsis, the shape of a nose was justification for slaughtering neighbors.
I've noticed that most people who bitch about eliminating religion are as much zealots as those who proselytize for religion.
How about we let people worship as they wish or do not wish.

BartSimpson BartSimpson: TattoodGirl TattoodGirl: n'oubliez jamais les castors My favorite thing about Canada! Soft, furry, beavers. I have a big beaver problem at my house in the bush. They are cutting down and depositing all the aspens in the lake. I shot one. My son hears the shot, asks me what I had done and without a word, gets the boat and hauls the beast ashore, cleans it and tells me I had always said, "if you kill it, eat it!" Sooooo..... I can say that I have eaten beaver, and report that it is quite good.

That pic is almost as funny as the Chretien pic of him in Bosnia with the Helmet on Backwards and the headlines screaming "Which way to the front" lol

BartSimpson BartSimpson: commanderkai commanderkai: Does anybody care what this man thinks? No? Good, I agree with Bart, he's nothing to worry about. I used to like him on Politically Incorrect, and I probably became such due to it, but he's gone a bit more insane Millions of people, liberal and conservative, used to like him on PI until 9/11 when he declared that the guys who flew the planes into the WTC were courageous. i agree with what he said, if you take it in context. the SAUDI's NOT Iraqi's that flew into the towers were willing to die for their "cause", yet congress and senate would never send thier kids into harms way, that's all he was saying... at least that's the way i took it.

Chagrin Chagrin: Streaker, I've always wanted to know, do you actually hate the US? Have you even fucking been here? Hate's too strong a word. But in the aftermath of Bush and Iraq, I'll admit I'm more than a little disgusted by the US.
