BC...Thanks for the long history lesson..Of course you failed to mention anything about interpretation. Nor did you point out that the treaies also included the ceding of a rather large portion of what you consider your lands to the crown which is the rest of Canada.

Of course your interpretation of these treaties tends to ignore that fact as well as the fact that natives are supposed to obey the laws of the land and not just the ones that benefit them.

A treaty is a legal document and that is a fact however, the interpretation of such a document is open to discussion. Where is states education it does not state that every native was to be educated exactly where he/she resided. That would have been a logistical nightmare and virtually impossible to do. The remedy at the time was to centralize the schools. Bad things happened at these schools but I tend to wonder how many natives actually received a good education and came out as better people. Of course we never hear those stories, just the bad ones. Just like we never hear of anything good that the non-natives have ever done for natives. Just the bad.

The good stories are by and large very few. They do not make up for the large number of bad/sad stories of exploitation and abuse that we have heard.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Biblical_Christian Biblical_Christian:
COPY OF TREATY No. 6

BETWEEN
HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN

AND THE
PLAIN AND WOOD CREE INDIANS

AND
OTHER TRIBES OF INDIANS

AT
FORT CARLTON, FORT PITT AND BATTLE RIVER
WITH ADHESIONS

Two things.

1. This has nothing to do with Natives giving Canada Diamonds or gold. I think you should just know that if you didn't give us the land and signed the treaties, we'd have taken it by force.

2. Payments? There is no specification of how much, is there?
'Payment' is singular, PAYMENTSSSSSSSS is plural, Maaan im teaching english to a whitey, daaang. What else you have my lil monkey?

How many bad stories have you honestly heard first hand. I have heard none but I have heard and personally know some people with good stories.

You say the good stories are very few because the native activists don't want us to hear them.

Babbling Cretin seems to be only capable of cutting and pasting. But then and again chimpanzees are incapable of learning anything past the age of five.
