I'm not much of a race fan but this comment,

made me think someone was feeling guilty, like maybe taking a dive to let the good looking babe win, to help promote the series. I didn't even see the race, but that seems to be a strange comment to me. If she beat him fair and square, why even bring it up?

Without having watched the race myself, I suspect he was intentionally running slow to save fuel, and perhaps this was obvious. So to try and forestall accusations of "let[ting] the good looking babe win," he let everyone know about his fuel situation.

Zactly right Hurley - MOTEGI is a fuel milage race where the milage and # of laps are right on the edge of a certain number of pit windows - the team that goes the fastest while saving the most fuel usually wins.

Already some are sayin its not a REAL win cause it was a fuel milage race


THAT being said "the good lookin babe win[ning]" the race definatly didnt hurt it, specially with all the problems the series has had already this year (merger and cancelled races)

How much race was left? Shouldn't have the crew chief got on the radio and said, you got to giver bud. The multi million dollar marketing tool is about to pass you.

I say go big or go home, but then again i'd go for the 2 points and the win, instead of kicking a single and forcing overtime, with 1 second on the clock.

You can always get the crew to push you to the winners circle.
