BeaverFever BeaverFever:
What point are you attempting to make?

Well...I was hoping that seeing as it was emboldened and written large that might be a clue.

The Canadian Criminal code "fails to define what hate speech is"

This contradicts your blanket statement of:

BeaverFever BeaverFever:
We should clarify that Hate Speech is defined in the Criminal Code of Canada which is a law, not a “regulation”, meaning its an Act passed by parliament.

It's no small point. It means we don't know what hate speech is until some judge tells us.

Because most Ontario judges seem to be Progs you're pleased with that. You seem to think it's a good thing.

Many of the rest of us have seen Canadian judges deliver some pretty nutso decisions.

And speaking of nuts let's not forget Canada has something called "Human Rights Tribunals." If one finds oneself on the wrong end of one of those I don't think He, She, or Whatever wants to rely on them deciding what hate speech is.

I don’t know how else to simplify it for you. Hate Speech laws and tribunals are not new and are not being changed. The new regulations don’t change the laws already on the books.

Easy Peasy. Just admit you're wrong. Then I won't have to play your theme song for you again.

You said hate speech was defined in the criminal code. It's not.

Oh what the Hell...

Oh wait...were you needing a definition of the word "define?" Would that help?
