Thanos Thanos:
It's a small and silly thing if it comes from party funds instead of tax dollars. Scheer being in crisis due to the election results though it became an opportunity for his enemies to use to hang him and get him out the door.

It’s not a big deal but it’s the straw that broke the camels back as he was already unpopular and on thin ice inmany quarters of his party.

Also his top-up was for his kids private school tuition which these days is off-brand with the conservatives new phoney “anti-elite” marketing strategy

This thing about the fees don’t impress me much, small beer by Canadian political scandal standards. Given the chance, I would have been quite a naughty politician myself. And utterly shameless.

He should have stuck to the oil kickbacks, or the money the Heartland Institute pays him.

Yup and it's a good thing he didn't win the election and become the PM of Canada because then, he would have been held to a higher standard than the opposition leader and forced to resign as the PM for his indiscretions.

As a newly married woman a few weeks short of forty, Rempel may have competing priorities to consider here. The prospect of PM Erin O’Toole would not upset my sleep (an anti-celebrity might be a welcome contrast to Trudeau’s glam?) but Conservatives may want more excitement than that. At the other end of the annoying spectrum, Polievre would certainly look good in Question Period at least. Ambrose must be the frontrunner.
