Don't they have to buy the shoes to burn them though? Reminds me of folks burning books, or Beatles records..

Well let's post everywhere that Armstrong's mike cut out for TWO seconds. What he really said was:
"One small step for an American, a giant leap for mankind"
And the camera flickered too so we missed him thumb his nose at a portrait of Lenin and piss on a UN flag while he said it.

Much better than admitting most American public figures had class back then... :D

You know boycotts don’t work if you actually go out and buy the products, it doesn’t matter if you burn them afterwards silly Deplorables.

Future headline “Nike sales through the roof thanks to misguided Republicans”

Just like when they flocked to buy $300 bottles of French wine for smashing when France wisely refused to join the Republicans’ fraudulent war of choice in Iraq (you know the war they now can’t remember supporting).

I've been boycotting Nike for years. Not for any political reasons but for their prices.

Vans are better than Nikes. Serena Williams should have been the only face of the 30th "Just Do It" anniversary for what she's accomplished.

Some are saying that Nike is toast be because hillbillies just like them are going to boycott their basketball shoes.

There just aren't that many hillbillies just like them out there. They are marginal, at best and none of them would ever buy anything that Nike makes, anyway.

Kaepernick Campaign Created $43 Million in Buzz for Nike

$1:
The controversy surrounding Nike Inc.’s new Colin Kaepernick ad can’t be a surprise to the sportswear company. And in spite of the backlash, it’s probably pretty good for the brand.

In less than 24 hours since Kaepernick first revealed the spot on Twitter, Nike received more than $43 million worth of media exposure, the vast majority of it neutral to positive, according to Apex Marketing Group. That far outweighs the risk of alienating some customers, said Bob Dorfman, a sports marketing executive at Baker Street Advertising.

$43 million in earned media against $4 billion in stock losses just yesterday.

Sure, that makes sense.

It's pretty much a blip if you look at the YTD stock prices. I imagine Nike new exactly what they were walking into.

Keep trying to repeat Trump nonsense.

To suggest the stock was being killed and Nike was “done” are just flat out lies.

Think for yourself. You don’t have to repeat Trump.
