martin14 martin14: BeaverFever BeaverFever: It should offend you more. The chant was a deliberate conscious choice by supposed adults. The unemployment rate isn't. Bullshit. Notely knew full well her taxes and gimmes would cost a lot of jobs, and didn't care. What specifically are you referring to? The Alberta economy tanked under the last government , and was due to the oil market, not government policy.

Why do they want to lock her up, though? My guess is just because they want people locked up who don't share the same political views as them. Which tells me all I need to know about those guys right there.

Actually the difference between them and Suzuki who wanted his political opponents locked up is they were joking.
They were there to protest the carbon tax.

I don't think they were joking. They looked more pissed off than anything. Does that the fact that left wingnuts do the same stupid things as right wingnuts excuse the behavior? I don't think so.

You know why me and Sheila Gunn Reid are pretty sure those 20 seconds of the 3 hour protest were just frustrated Albertans goofing?
Watch the speaker. The guy who was responsible for the quick little response chant. He's laughing. He's the crowd's guy and he's chuckling.
He's gone cuck since, but for about 5 seconds of the 20 second chant in that 3 hour protest he allowed himself a smile.

Maybe we could look into how many shares she owns in the Ontario Teachers Fund. One of the first things Rachel did was sign a deal for 500 Alberta Schools to buy wind energy. I would have to go out to my car to check the bill but I think I just paid $0.034 KW / peak time, the schools pay $0.12. Rumour has it now the original company that signed the deal is now owned by the OTF. Naw there's nothing shady going on here.

And wind mills in Alberta in the Winter? All are shut down because the gear oil in the turbine is to thick when it's -20C. Another rumour......they could be using coal fired electricity to operate electric heaters so they don't totally freeze up. Edited to add link. http://ets.aeso.ca/ets_web/ip/Market/Re ... ortServlet

Lemmy Lemmy: What are you talking about? There's no such thing as the Ontario Teachers Fund. There's an Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, but there's no such thing as shares in it.
How can you presume to evaluate what's shady and what isn't when you don't have the first clue what you're talking about? Typical conservatism: outrage based on false information. Sorry Lem that's what I meant. Thank for correcting me.

Lemmy Lemmy: You meant what? You meant that you don't actually think she owns shares in a thing that there are no shares in, even though you insinuated that something shady was going on the basis of that which didn't happen 'cause it's impossible? Is that what you meant? Typical Dipper deflecting. I got the fucking name wrong. We call it the Teachers Fund out here. So spare your fucking outrage. But it sure seems to have hit a nerve.
