Sure, and sometimes good people make bad mistakes in life. But if you do, you can kinda expect to be shamed about it. Doesn't merit a suicide though, that was a bad reaction to the situation and a shame, really.

I understand your fears tho. If half the people here lost their anonymity and were publicly identified for their posts, they would probably be crawling back to the nearest hideyhole too. Like what? Ignoring it? People should be responsible for their own actions.

Just like what this guy did, confront them non violently. Look them in the eye, and ask them to repeat to your face the reprehensible thing they just said. And like the inbred people in the car, they know what they said was wrong and deny even saying it.

Fuck their feelings. The hashtag is the exact way to deal with racism - make them uncomfortable with their own words and actions. If they are uncomfortable, then they know what they did was wrong.
